They did, but the game is no longer in beta.
Did they finally reach 1.0?

KC:D is good, but the combat is janky as hell. I get that it's realistic to not be able to take on 2+ guys in real life combat, but you can still cheese the battles by circling around on your horse shooting arrows while your enemies put up a futile chase on foot. I think it might have been better to give it 3rd person combat and make it possible to manage fighting more than one guy at a time. That would have been more fun IMO.

I admit, the combat frustrated me at the start. I thought that this is never going to work, but as others have said, you just have to practice in game so that Henry learns AND you as well. Once youre really skillful in combat, its even possible to win against 2 or even 3 guys. Often times its more about being stealthy anyway, so you avoid waking up a whole camp or house, which would completely overwhelm you or get the guards called on you. Once youve mastered bows, it becomes a lot easier as well.
But the devs have stated that you can actually complete the game without killing anyone if its not really necessary. Theres a trophy for that.

UGG is awesome. No denying that.
The rest of the games on there?
lol no.
But honestly, the last year was really shitty in terms of games. So shitty that people started playing Minecraft again. On Youtube!

Really?? I really don't see UGG is better than game like Disco Elysium. I would put Disco Elysium and The Outer Worlds before UGG.

UGG is great for meme.... That seems to be very important nowadays.
Memes? I havent seen a single meme with it.

If I want to play in a dystopia, I look out the window or watch the news.

KC:D is one of the most immersive and special games I've ever played. It really felt like I've tasted a little bit of what the medieval life was really like. Truly astonishing and beautiful game.

I was in a rural area where the Donau ran through in eastern Germany last week and the environment put me right back into the game. Reinstalled it yesterday.
Yep, exactly true.
I just finished playing it a year ago, but for the past 6 months I always felt the urge to play it again, just because of the awesome and authentic depiction of middle and eastern Europe. Feels like youre really there.

Well, their next 14 nm desktop generation is to be released in the next weeks to months. So its safe to say that we wont see 10 nm on the desktop before end of the year, more like next year.

I interpreted R*s negligence of a proper anti-cheat system, dedicated servers and ignoring of bugs into a simple inability to change it without redoing the whole game. You know, since even billions of dollars cant buy it.
So I thought they would fix it in their next games for sure, you know, like a normal human being learning from their mistakes.

And here we are, 5 years later: Same exact shit in RDR2.
So they clearly dont give a single demented flying fuck about PC gamers having a frustration-free experience.

So why would I pay real world money on an insecure game like that, when a Russian modder can simply remove what I bought with real world money if he doesnt like how my name sounds? And even if hes getting banned, he will simply buy another copy for a few rubles (thanks to shithole-adjusted prices) and do it again in a matter of minutes.

The stuff they are going up against simply wont be easy to beat.
I knew that long before release.
Now they want to redesign it? Needs a whole new game to even scratch the market a bit. Its saturated. Simple as that.

Apparently, the lag isn't that bad:

I enjoyed nearly latency-free performance on a majority of my tested games. Fortnite, Apex Legends, Destiny 2, and the 2019 remake of Modern Warfare: I played these on mouse and keyboard via GeForce Now and barely noticed their inherent latency.

Caveats, of course:

There's no telling whether my impressive GeForce Now tests came because I live near one of its data centers, or because my home connection is solid, or because I did all my tests before thousands of free users piled onto the service.
Barely noticing latency in games means its already far too high.

I'm going to guess that a lot of the user reviews are by people who didn't even buy Reforged. Whether you bought it or not, apparently original WC3 was automatically downgraded to have many of the changes Reforged made to the interface and functionality. Most shocking is that custom campaigns just don't work anymore. There's many a reddit post on it. This might be avoided if you run the OG WC3 outside of the launcher I guess, if that's even possible.
Metacritic is known to allow even bots to post massive assaults of reviews.
I had that one time when I rated a game that didnt have one single review on it for weeks after release. After I put one in (which wasnt viewing it that great) suddenly dozens and dozens of reviews popped up, all 10/10, by accounts that only reviewed that one game, and my review got 100% downvoted by all of them. This happened over the course of a few days. Not a single other one posted a review of anything different than 0/10 or 10/10 in that time.
But 0/10 they did vote, because the exact opposite happened in the exact same fashion, but just not nearly as numerous, so that the total rating still stayed very good. Again accounts with only this game review on their history voted it 0/10. 100% of them voted my review up.

When editing my review mentioning that in it and reporting it to Metacritic, nothing was done, except my mention of this manipulation in my review being deleted.

Look at it yourself:
https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/last-year/user-reviews?sort-by=date&num_items=100

So yeah, I dont trust metacritic ratings anymore. If small devs like this do shit like that and Metacritic tolerates it and even deletes mentions of that manipulations, I dont want to know what big corporations do.

If they really want people to mod their games, then I would do it the other way around: Pay them for making mods. The more people play that mode, the more money they get. Pretty much like Youtube or Twitch, just with mods.

With shit like this they will only lose modders, if not customers.

That goes counter to what Blizzard is doing. They don't want another DOTA slipping through their fingers. So this AUP update essentially creates blanket coverage if one of the custom modes becomes wildly successful. They can declare retroactive ownership and make money off someone's work without paying them a dime. It's outright theft.
Thats the thing though, with shit like this they wont even know if a DOTA slipped through their fingers.
Well, maybe they will, if it pops up in other games.

If you'd read the article you'd know that we aren't the target audience. We aren't into influencer culture the way gens Y and Z are. It's a prime source of entertainment for them. I actually found the article an informative and interesting view into a world I typically don't interact with.

Well that wasnt my point.
The title is BS. Most Youtube videos get more dislikes and worse comments without even having any controversial content. So why even talk about this?
Why not be honest about the article you write?

I'm confused about why you're focusing on some dislike count that's not even mentioned in the article.

Because the dislikes should somewhat show what the title of this article claims. But it doesnt. Theres not much dislike at all. Neither in the comments. They just picked out some *maybe* critical comments and blew them up into this.
