Just FYI, Ive had my account as long and Ive gotten lots of emails from Blizzard when my prepaid card ran out for example (3 days ahead) or when they locked my account for whatever reason or when I changed my password or any other information.
Looks like your spamfilter is too agressive.

I doubt they would explain it that thoroughly when they wont send you emails at all:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=965511383&sid=1
If what you say would be true, they would simply say "THERE ARE NO EMAILS FROM US!".
I really would like to know where you got that bullshit from...

Bullshit. They have emailed me a lot before when there was a problem with my account or the subscription was about to run out.
I still got a few of those in my email folder...

You guys have prolly fallen to phishing mails. They look EXACTLY like original blizzard mails (even the mail address and link address are the same). Im getting mails like that almost every day where they claim that my account was compromised and locked and I need to unlock it, etc.
I almost fell for it aswell.

For the consoles, for the PC the only competition they face is from TF2. The game's actually fun and has good gfx, but needs desperately the dedicated servers. Otherwise consider this a TF2-lite with a Western theme.
Lite? Even simpler than TF2?
So its basically DMC?

On another note, I hope Monolith's lack of involvement means they are working on something new... or at least a much-anticipated sequel to something old, like Blood or NOLF.
You dont really want a sequel to NOLF2 or Blood if its going to be a console port anyways.

I had a Razer mouse with 4k DPI once (Lachesis), but had to send it back because my hand hurt from using it and the mouse wheel button was craptastic.
Still, on max. DPI and low/medium sensitivity it was the smoothest mouse Ive ever used. I was really disappointed that I had to send it back.

Right now I am thinking of trying Razer again, because my last 2 Logitech mice (G9 & G5) are complete garbage.

I dont like, or use DRM, but in financial terms, DRM does not seem to be a disastrous move for companies, sadly.

Thats true. If anything, DRM filters out critical people, and thus publishers/devs can dumb down their games or cut down content, features and quality even more without losing sales.

Sorry ledhead, but my argument stands.

If you want to be competitive, then you must therefore want to make a purchase.

If being competitive is not something you're interested in, then making a purchase is similarly uninteresting to you.

This is all assuming that they are, in fact, making competitive items exclusively for purchase. This would, admittedly, be unfair. I don't mean to spoil the surprise or anything but...life is not fair.

So, in short, lick me.

Games are supposed to make "life" fair. Else we would only be playing completely unbalanced POS.
The RPG elements and achievements are bad already, now in addition I always have to fear that I am on the team, that only has players that dont have any addons.

Its bad that skill alone isnt enough anymore since they added achievements, but now also someones pocketbook size adds to the game aswell? I mean, it would be nice if they would only be cosmetic things, but I am 100% sure that it wont be limited to those. And even if thats not the case, a better camouflage than the standard one also affects balance.

Oh, btw, I played a game like that before. Savage 2. After 2 hours of gameplay, 3 servers and about 5 games, it was clear that the team that has more non-paying players always loses.

So, even if I can buy those items, I will just not play such a game because it adds another huge luck factor to it.

Yeah guys, you better go back playing your BC2 or MW2 console crap. This game is nothing for you, because its a real PC game, with real PC controls, real PC complexity and a real PC community.

Oh and I cant wait for this expansion. The original is so awesome that I actually bought a new SSD, quadcore, TrackIR and 4 extra GB of RAM for it only.

The implementation of hero classes in WC3 sucked ass.
In LOTR:BFME they were very well done, best so far imo.
It seems we are in agreement then. The BFME games also had a few other concepts I really liked, such as cavalry literally running over some types of infantry.
I agree completely. Too bad mine doesnt want to start anymore in Win 7. Some stupid DRM error it seems.

30. Re: NVIDIA Responds to ATI PhysX Comments Mar 13, 2010, 11:23 Muscular Beaver

I wouldnt want to miss PhysX anymore. It was awesome in Batman or Mirrors Edge for example. Nowadays, with the ports having almost the same graphics as the console original, its at least something that still gives me the feeling that I am playing a real PC game, and not some half-assed console port.
Now DX10.1, that was useless, and I fear DX11 will be too when I look the extremely short list of DX10 games after 3 years.

AMDs hardware is awesome, but their drivers are STILL just horrible. 2 Years ago I sold my 4850 because it still had the same graphic glitches that my old Radeon 8500 did and STILL the flashing graphics issue. Thats just sad.
I am glad that Nvidia has such an awesome driver support.

I assume the DLC will be $5. Usually game companies over-estimate how much time it takes to complete something, so it's probably one hour long, not 90 minutes. So $5 for an hour. Not a good deal to me since you can get the full game, used, for $30. And that's 20-25 hours of gameplay.

*shrug* But I'm sure ME fanboys will jump on it

Bull. The full game is only 20-25 hours if you rush through it. Do any of the extra missions and you get a whole boatload more hours, which are in no way "filler" hours. I challenge anyone to get ME2 and play it in 25 hours and not know with absolute certainty that there's a whole lot more they skipped just so that they could see the end cinematic.

Because I had very bad experiences in this aspect of the gme in the previous part (completed it after about 10 hours), I developed a phobia in ME2. I absolutely made sure that I get every sidemission and explore every planet. I completed the game in 45 hours that way. The sidemissions werent really good, because they were extremely short and straightforward, but to be fair, they were far better than the ones in the first part.
