Interesting mentality you guys have.
Twitch tolerated and supported his behavior long enough, it was the reason he was so successful.
I wouldnt watch a guy like that even for a few seconds, but the fact of the matter is that Twitch let him do his thing and he was very successful with it for a long time, so that he thought that its fine.
Then they literally destroy his life for one slip.

How fucked up in your mind must you be to then blame him for it?
People like you are the very reason we will end up in a 1984 society.

Its basically just different interests in coping with shit in their lives.

Basically exactly what I was going to say. There's a difference between a tick like biting your nails or using drugs though. The first is an expression of stress you're often unaware of while the other is a willfull escape from reality. I think that's the crux of it all: whatever habit you have to cope with shit in your life, to escape, can become an addiction.

The guy who only uses drugs to amplify the fun he has during a music festival we don't consider an addict. The guy who uses the same drugs daily while sitting alone on his couch, probably is.
The person who starts up his console to play Sing Star with their friends probably isn't an addict. The person who neglects his daily duties or goes home early to play games, probably is.

It is really that simple, I think.
I think its the same. Some people just can cope with it better and thus "only" bite their nails. Ive seen some real bad cases of that too, basically bloody fingers every day.

I try & talk gaming with him but he's such a smart ass shit I just smile, let the thought go F%$K yourself pass through my head & walk off.

I've always wondered, what's your issue with ArmA III...? I hope it's not the, please bring back the sluggish 2-frames-of-lag-feeling aim movement?
No. Proper animations, not this Dean Hall-forced artificial movement, enough content (Operation Arrowhead + DLCs-state should be reached by now, but it isnt even nearly) and most of all: Real authentic military, not some fantasy/future crap.. or aliens.

Uhh... isn't this an MMO?

Why would you limit your MMO client to one store?

What? No, it's an action/adventure, just like the first one.
When I played it in the Beta, it was an MMO. Pretty much like Conan Exiles.

You're mistaken, or don't know what an MMO is. Co-op doesn't make a game an MMO:

"Rune II is described as a “true sequel,” and is directly inspired by the original game, which launched in 2000 and spawned two follow-up titles, Halls of Valhalla and Viking Warlord. Building on the Norse setting of those games, Rune II will see players return to Midgard with new abilities granted by the gods, as well as open-world events, and a full story-driven campaign that you can experience either alone or in co-op."
Conan Exiles is called an MMO.
And Rune Ragnarok played pretty much like it, minus the building.
I mean, Conan has some kind of story as well.

Conan Exiles isn't called a MMO either, not even by the devs:
"Conan Exiles can be played in full single-player, co-op, or persistent online multiplayer."

So what you're saying is a game that's not an MMO plays like another game that's not an MMO.
Conan Exiles is called an MMO everywhere.
Ive played Rune 2.

Heh... I still haven't gotten my kickstarter backer version yet.

Just been too lazy with a a large backlog of games to figure out how to redeem for it.

Youre missing out a lot. One of the best games Ive ever played.

That's quite a statement! That would put this in the same level of Witcher 3. From the reviews thus far, they seem mixed.

What makes it so good? I've been on the fence for a while about picking it up.
The world, the authenticity, the combat, the characters, the quests. I still miss it after completing it. They atmosphere in that game is just so god damn good, much better than Witcher 3, because it actually feels real, like it actually could have happened (it might actually, I didnt check, but all the other things I checked are real, like the villages, some of the people, etc). But as the ending hints, there will be another one.

Okay, I'll probably throw it back on my wishlist. It was on there for some time but after a lot of mixed/negative reviews mostly attributed to bugs, I dropped it. I also didn't like the asking price for it's initial release. I suppose if they do give it a hefty price drop, I'll jump back on it.
It was on sale quite a few times.
It had lots of bugs at the beginning, but seriously not more than say Skyrim. It still has a few, but they arent game breaking.
You just have to take care about completing quests. Dont take too many at once, because some will fail if you take too long.

I fully expect this to crash and burn, just like every other 'classic' server out there. there is always a vocal minority who say they want these, but if you have played any MMO's classic progression games, you know what the drill is:

* day one, every hardcore hammerhead with an interest shows up, guilds up and it is a race to cap, and firsts
* Any other players are left in the dust to flounder
* Game becomes the private play ground of a handful of hardcores
* Other players quickly realize they are better off going back to the current version of the game

At some point Blizzard/Activision will have to show their hand on this regarding how they plan to monetize the added cost of the development, maintenance and server infrastructure for this. I can't believe they are going to do all this for free, and I seriously doubt it will bring in substantial new subscriptions.

If it works with EverQuest, it will work very well with WoW.
