Either way it's as fake as compassionate conservatism, or fiscal responsibility, or the adults are in charge.

I think 'stand-alone-expansion' is a quickly made up marketing term for sequel-lite. It's not really a sequel, nor is it a mod, but it's less than a sequel, and more than a mod.

In other words, whatever it takes to charge more than $20 for it.

Just when I was about to give up on the show. Who or what is this '2' though?

Ahh, poppers, they feel hotter on the way out than on the way in.

Jeez, swf preloaders should be mandatory. You'd think Macromedia would make a drag and drop one for all the n00bs.

Last night I had a dream where I slipped off the ISS and tumbled into space w/out space suit. Somehow I lived long enough to land on a small asteriod. Carmack's Ferrari was there and it provided heat and oxygen. The headlights still worked so I used them to signal the rescue team.

Strange.

"Despite the lack of lasting effect the graphics engine had on me, it was really nice to see my GeForce 4MX (shutup, I do NOT want to hear it) actually play a game at a decent frame rate. "

I missed the first NOLF, so I obviously can't compare the two. The demo was pretty damn spiffy, I'm a sucker for interactivity, hell I might even buy this for my parents for xmas!

Duke who?

What a crappy review on Active Hardware

"couldn't get system stable enough"...
"couldn't test PC800 due to time constraints"...

Taking the game software approach are we?

How did the Jalepeno cheese-dogs turn out? I think you might be onto something there, esp with a slightly toasted bun...

Use arrow keys to move. The horseshoe thing is a magnet, it attracts anything metal in the same room, keys/sword. No, no other controls. The duck things are dragons, there are three, red is fastest.
Kill the dragons with the sword.
There were 3 levels in original game, level 2 had 2 castles etc. Then it repeated with the dragons moving faster for levels 4,5,6.

The goal of the game is to get the Chalice (flashy thing) back to your yellow castle. Keys open corresponding doors.

Pretty simple really..

I honestly didn't see the original comment as a tasteless slam against DNF or 3DR, perhaps I read things too literally... It could have been a question based solely on the summary above. There wasn't any specific indication in the comments by Blue that he no longer worked there, so this is where I both found the first question valid, and came to the sickhouse conclusion.

However, not owning a gaming website clearly puts me in an inferior position regarding knowing everything that goes on in the business.
