Phones are too easy to drop. I’ve always used Spigen cases. Very rugged but not bulky.

When nin went offline many people including myself asked blue to check in on him. Blue was able to get a hold of him and it turns out he's okay.
CJParker was cool enough to give notice of leave.
If you go to the stats page you can see how many thousands of users have made accounts throughout the years. I'm always amazed when somebody posts in a thread that I've never seen before and they joined in 2008 or 2003.

Are you really only 6 years old here? Hmm, kind of surprised

Sigh. Time to chalk up my hands and prepare to climb some towers.

Haha! I was too late to make this exact comment.

That said, I've gotten a lot of hours out of the Ubisoft formula games, so I'm cautiously interested.

Massive Games didn't have towers....

No towers in Division 1 and 2, yes, but plenty of busy work. Enjoyable busy work, I loved Division 2 especially to log about 800 hours, of very repetitive but enjoyable grind.

And they even added a climbing tower joke in Far Cry 5

The Polish government is getting involved?!? What the fuck is going on, on this fucking planet? Tens of thousands of people dying every day from Covid19, possibly millions of new infections every day worldwide, and any government is spending one iota of time on this fucking video game!?!

Clearly I am living in some sort of simulated Hell or Twilight Zone.

Not to mention the freak show at the Capitol building when security just let Chewbacca and the gang waltz in there without masks. I just don't get it. I can't sit down at a restaurant and have a meal, but I can put together a protest/riot and easily make my way into government buildings without a mask as if the pandemic is something you can just put aside temporarily.

In a time when office buildings are becoming obsolete

Meh, it's more of a cost, but most humans work better in person than remotely in my experience. I've done a full 10 years of my 30 year working life remotely, so I've seen both sides.

It definitely depends on the type of job and what you do, but if all you need is a laptop and you're all in the same time zone, why would being in an office be more productive than working remotely? I've done both over the years as well and I get way more work done remotely than being in an office (no commuting, no distractions, etc). On the other hand, I can understand if you have a family with small children, then there would be more distractions at home than a dedicated office space.

We'll see what happens. When business owners realize how much they're saving on office space and the business can still run rather smoothly, then remote will absolutely be the favorable decision for a lot of companies (it's already happening and started well before the pandemic). Big cities could become the power plants of the future.

Company HQ's are never going to be obsolete... I doubt any (sane) corpo would do financial and management stuff over remote. (And let's not forget Engine Development). Also here Epic is just flat out being the good-guy for that local town. Since that shopping mall was clearly dead.

Thousands of businesses have been doing that for years. Anyhow, when it comes to game dev, I can see a need to use space for animations and things like that. But if all you need is a computer to do your job, then no need for a dedicated office. That's the future. So you best buy some real estate in the 'burbs because that's just gonna go up and up while big city real estate comes crashing down.

Should be criminal as well. I mean this is also known as theft. 10 million also seems to low, but I guess whatever they have to pay just ends up becoming our cost for tickets. So imo it has to be criminal.

At least one of the guys involved pleaded guilty last year to criminal charges. Given how lenient the US is on both guilty pleas and white collar crime, I'd be surprised if he even got jail time.

The US has to be lenient on white collar crimes, otherwise, most politicians would be in prison Greedy

I don't know what you're talking about. His 2 videos are the first 2 search results I get on both Youtube and Google Video search. Sounds like someone is just looking for more views by posting conspiracies.

Well, he either appealed the action, or it's region based, or you're looking at the wrong thing.
Neither google nor youtube return the video if i search for the name of the video "Cyberpunk 2077 Review - A gamers perspective, not a corporate one"
My region is North America, America.

Right, so it could be region based if other people are seeing.

Edit: When I do a Google search, his review does not come up at all. I even put his channel name in the search. All I get is his 2018 preview, and other sites that are posting his review (or talking about how he got blocked).

Nice strawman there. No one is compelling speech. Compelling speech means I am required to say something (you know, like when various interest groups say that you must publicly support them or they will doxx and destroy you and your business) I would not normally say. We are talking about intentionally hiding, deleting, or banning ideas that the corporation dislikes. If the corporation's platforms are providing a public platform, then they are allowing public speech, not compelling it. This is the basis of the safe harbor protections internet websites enjoy. By not publishing, endorsing, or restricting speech beyond what is illegal in their jurisdiction, they are granted immunity for what others post on their platforms. Once they start to decide what speech is allowable, they have become publishers, by choosing which ideas they publish. It's not hard. The fact that you have to work really hard to try and conflate forced speech with viewpoint neutrality just shows that even you know your point is bogus. No one is demanding youtube announce that Cyberpunk 2077 is a glitch-ridden mess. They're just demanding that youtube allow others to make such a statement on their supposedly public (which is what they claim themselves in order to maintain safe harbor) platform.

^^exactly this
