"Why not use google or your favourite search engine? It's pretty obvious the people who like starforce aren't going to be convinced by random posters on bluesnews comments."

I never said I "liked" it. I'm just wondering where all the bashers get their information. And no, I'm not going to search for answers. I want the people who say they have problems with it to show me or tell me what the problem is. I have yet to see this from anyone who bashes it. Again, I'm not defending it. I don't want to put malicious software on my computer, but I do want to buy games. So all the people who says that it's bad for your system, please explain why. And if you can't then why do you bash it?

"It doesn't fuck up your system exactly, at least not in a guarenteed way. Think of it as an added layer of complexity in an already complicated system, it wiggles its way in - yet another thing that can (and does) cause crashes and random lock ups, another thing that has its own host of incompatibilities. That's just the technical issues, although starforce claims it works perfectly, it's yet another weapon in the war against piracy that screws only the legitimate customer.
"

That gives me no detailed technical information whatsoever about why you think starforce does anything to your system. God, everyone is so vague about this. Please, point me to a link that shows the technical problems with this copy protection.

Is there anyone here that can actually prove the starforce fucks up your system? I'm not defending it, it just seems that a lot of games are using it now and some of these games I'd like to try/buy. So where do you guys get your information? How does it screw up your system?

I feel like the devs and designers at Turbine have never ever played a mmo in their lives. What's up with all the devs and designers these days that target a genre that they know nothing about? It's like designing a baseball game without knowing the rules. I wish they'd just give it up and do something more mindless like an FPS shooter or something.

" If they really want to fuck it up they can have Gandalf sitting in some newbie town handing out quests to kill 10 rabbits.

Conies...not rabbits. "

Actually, the correct term is Bunnies when it comes to mmo's.

only a month? That just tells me that mmorpg's aren't your favorite genre, because WoW is pretty much the best out there.

People can start flaming about my comment, but the truth is in the numbers. If the game sucked, there wouldn't be 5 million subscribers. Period.

you have to layoff the developers for this kind of support. What else do they have to do while looking for a new job?

This game has been available for quite a while. People who play it seem to love it. I haven't touched it... yet.

I'm actually surprised that people like this game (being positive). I was let down by the first game so I didn't even bother buying this one. It's good to see that some people like it. Maybe I'll pick it up when it hits the bargain bin.

32 years old and already worth over a billion dollars. Just for a silly search engine. Crazy shit. Although, I can understand why they're selling. Sell now while it's worth something.

"To get the most out of the game, I suggest you play a melee character as the range weapons don't feel quite right with the combat system doing its thing in the background. "

Ranged characters work well now since the last couple patches.

"Dual Graphics Cards No Longer Enough."

As if there are games that really require 4 graphics cards, let alone 2.

It's just marketing crap for the ever-so-dying pc desktop. I'll take an HD laptop with a 512MB nVidia card over a quad setup anyday.

I heard they're working on a aerospace sim, where you can build your own rockets and try to break through the atmosphere.

GWWC! Guild Wars has got to be the most underrated game of all time! This game is the best 50 bucks I've ever spent on a game! Why aren't more people playing it??? I don't understand. Especially the Pogs. PC-only gamers should love this game!

Year after year we heard the same thing (both pre-Mythic and post-DAoC), Publishers: "Our market research shows that there is only a small number of people who will pay to play online games!" Which then led to my favorite quote "The market is saturated right now, there really isn't room for any other MMO other than UO [And then substitute EQ, DAoC, etc.]!"

How clueless could they be? And these statements were before World of Warcraft gained 5 million subcribers. lol
