OK, I'll confess. I'm an ex-3D realms programmer. I quit a few months ago to focus my time on World of Warcraft. If you really want to know how our work day goes well here it is:
We all meet for Breakfast downtown at 1030 where we discuss the game over a few beers.
We cycle through the following places for lunch each week to get our creative juices flowing: go kart, paint ball, strip club.. oh yeah, we only work three days. We have to keep the creative juices flowing. Over lunch we discuss the game some more and what the game will do.
After lunch we head to the office. The office is really just the local playground where we talk to the preschoolers about what they would like to see in a game when they're 14 years old (our new estimated release date).
From lunch til we leave (about 15 minutes later) we sit in a circle and chant "DNF","DNF" trying to figure out how we can make this game by pure willpower without ever sitting in front of a computer. One day they'll get it.
SST... The beginning scenes with R2 were great, the subtle humor (I just killed an unarmed man... after chopping off his arms) the plot and story were awesome, the love scenes weren't too off the wall, and the battles were brilliant. ...
Definitely an awesome movie and a good beginning to the summer with me definitely looking forward to Batman Begins, Fantastic 4, Cinderella Man, Stealth, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
hmmm... I liked the first two movies and thought Jar Jar was an excellent addition and really made me laugh and enjoy the movie even more. Have tickets for tonight and think I will really enjoy it as well.
Wow, took my a long while to read this correctly. I've been reading it as something I would tell my kids when they ask the question why, "just 'cause"... when in fact I guess this was meant to be the legal speak "Just Cause"
This game truly looks brilliant in its own different than AOE3. Really looking forward to this one as I actually enjoyed TA: Kingdoms and like the fantasy idea of a RTS.
I got my copy of PC Gamer last Thursday or Friday. This game looks very sweet!!! Love the screenshot of the freaky, possessed little girls with pigtails running after you trying to kill you. Reminds me of some very odd poltergeist/exorcist scene.
I watched the first four or five episodes and didn't think the show was worth showing... thought it would die a cold hard death. I can understand them canceling it as I'm not even sure of the demographic that would watch it and find it appealing.
I know a lot of people are complaining about the Comcast DNS problems, but really over the last two years the two outages over the last week are the only problems I've had with the service. This has probably been one of the most stable ISP's I've ever dealt with and the speed is brilliant too!
I wish Apple gave credit for discovering problems and working with them to fix it like MS... I worked with Apple for over a year tracking & identifying that there was a problem with recovering from power failures....
Tell me what's most needed and what professions I should choose. I'm still playing in my first month so have a lot more to explore with any of the characters. I'm just not a fan of the warrior currently.
Mayor Dan. I'll startup a new character and try to get in touch with someone in the guild if joining at lvl 1 is acceptable. I only have around 5-7 hours a week to play, but would love trying the guild life with this game.
Actually the server outages haven't been that bad for me. I couldn't connect to my normal nightelf warrior on one realm so I decided to start a new character, an undead priest. From doing this I'm having more fun with this char. And this server has been lag free and no problems since. I now wind up choosing to play my priest vs my higher level warrior. I'm now waiting for the next outage so I can try the other characters... next up, troll mage (if that's possible).
