Do we need to play ME1 to understand ME2's story?

Ant, if you never played Mass Effect it's still a good game to play (and a HD mod helps as well). Is it essential? No, but I will say even with ME 3's crappy ending, it's worth the price of admission.

STFU and move on to less important things in the universe. (Which is an unintended pun cause of ya know... Andromeda heh)

I was hoping for more of a return to the first game with the emphasis on exploration and RPG and less on all the constant Michael Bay gunplay and combat every 15 seconds. And I was hoping for all new races and stories, but this just looks like the same ol' shite.

Love the reactionary posts. Where to begin...

1) Andromeda is bringing back the planetary exploration from the first game, only with actual stuff to do on said planets rather than drive around an empty landscape in a vehicle that handles like crap.

2) Mass Effect has always been shooter first, RPG second. This was true of the first game, only it had pretty crappy combat and lackluster level design. The skill tree was more complex, sure, but there was a lot of filler and leveling wasn't exactly interesting.

3) There are new races and stories.

Love your reactionary reply. Where to begin..

1) Its pretty funny

2) Posts have always been reactionary, take a fucking look around.

3) It has a list, with numbers and shit.

You forgot to add a poll. Every anti-reactionary reactionary flamebait fanboy post needs a good poll.

Done.

Frankly I'll just be happy if Bioware stops trying to check all the LGBTQ boxes with every RPG they make, and trying really REALLY hard to convince me that I need to be gay. Why wasn't there a "I'm your fucking commanding officer and I'm not fucking gay. Stop hitting on me and just fly the fucking shuttle craft. And NO! I don't want to dance. Fuck" dialog option.

Oh look at that, I ranted.

FORCE YOU TO BE GAY?!? The options are there if you want them but in no way shape or form do they FORCE them on you. Hell they don't even force the straight options on you.
Hell the only guy I WANTED to fuck in Mass Effect was Vega ( I mean look at the guy, DAMN! *in best Hey Ask Watcha Playing voice*) and you can't.
But if you want a really good laugh have a gay relationship with Iron Bull in Dragon Age Inq. Or go watch the clips

And no you didn't rant, more of tirade. But my use of tirade is as accurate as Bioware forcing gay choices on you.

Triggers me almost as much as folks who say their game "lags" when the FPS drops and news outlets affixing "gate" to any every sort of scandal.

The one that makes me rage is "literally unplayable" for a 2-3 FPS drop. I seriously want to start throwing shit when I read that...

Sometimes I want to literally strangle kids (please don't take that out of context, because that sounds really bad...lol) when they don't get 30fps in a game and declare it unplayable. The sense of entitlement on these little shits nowadays is outrageous! I wish DOS wasn't dead and they had to configure IRQs and DMAs and tweak their autoexec.bats and config.sys'! Try squeezing the mouse, cd-rom AND sound card all in HIGH memory while having 610k of conventional memory free before you start bitching about frame rates children! - is what I would say if they had any fucking clue whatsoever as to what I was saying in the first place! Grrrr! And get THE FUCK off my lawn! I don't care if it's winter and it's brown! GTFO it anyway!

My case is made before I even posted! I wish everything was that easy!

=-Rigs-=

(still quoting you)

Also that's what pisses me off about "Beta" anymore. It's no longer about beta testing a game anymore and all about PR/Marking bullshit instead of having a 'open week/weekend'.
Remember when game companies would would have a Alpha Test (now called Early Access), and then have a real Beta Test to see how games performed in the hands of thousands of player?

Hmm, lets see if you're saying the same thing tomorrow morning!

So after some drunken co-op with Batz, I'm toasted and gonna go try to make a taco salad and take my contacts out. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope something good happens to all of you fine folks (yeah even you Cutter and Space Captain) this year.
Blue, all I would change to the site is this:
Give us an option to donate to you so we can either get a t-shirt or rid of ad's. Beyond that: I'd love to see more editorials about your gaming habits (beyond solo'ing Rock Band with 4 instruments at once).
Beyond that, I hope you are all safe as we ring in the new year, and hope/pray we don't have another 2016 for 2017. Love ya all good/bad!

Blues needs a Patreon! (AND MORE T-SHIRTS! Mine is starting to really show it's age!)

Exactly. Then you get people tailoring posts to stoke their own ego and no one actually discusses things after that.

How would that be any different from your posts now? ~ZING!

(I couldn't pass it up, even though he won't see it... Idea unless one of you guys quotes it!)

=-Rigs-=

You mean like this?

*hugs Rigs*
Ok got the contacts out and cooked dinner (does anyone else really get into music/singing when toasty?) Be safe folks, 4 hours left to go. And has anyone checked on Betty White?

Won't happen. They are just patenting an idea. Like the drone thing.

You realize that they started trials of the drone thing in the UK this month, yeah?

Oh, and...

"That's no moon!"

-Jn-

Yeah but here in the US there are still two huge issues to overcome.

1) Where I work (CVG5) is the post office for our Amazon Hub in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, and we are within the 15 mile no fly zone of the airport.
2) Birds. Birds were taking down the drones like a kid taking candy from a unguarded plate on the front porch on Halloween night.
3) Theft/Public Safety. Especially here in the Kentucky/Cincinnati area these drones are going to be target practice. Idiots here love to shoot at anything they can, and if I can score a Ipad or pair of shoes or whatever for hitting the target so much the better. Not to mention idiot children/people/animals who will run up to the mini helicopter and loose some fingers/limbs.
