Having a ton of fun playing the Colossus.

Loot does get better, but like any game you're not really going to see the purple until level 20.

The story REALLY picks up around level 18 or so.

Freeplay is more or less just bleh. It would be awesome to just go around and do missions instead of the short missions and back to the fort.

What is unbearable is your fucking whining.

Really enjoying Athem, and as Creston said able to launch anywhere is fucking AWESOME.

That's a cute way of thinking on a news site that is supposed to know how game development works. Anthem is a goner. EA will not put 200 people fully working on it to produce new content. Also Bioware after both Anthem story and Andromeda story being what it is (total garbage) and EA especially will NEVER get good worth of mouth, EVER AGAIN.

Even if they fixed Anthem gameplay wise, that still leaves you with a completely retarded setting and world design that is so tone deaf you would find ROCKS that could write better characters.

Athem gameplay wise is fine. It has a solid story, but lacks any sort of divercity in it's missions.
I hear a lot of whining about Athem, and not a lot of facts as to why people are whining.

14. National Love Your Pet Day Feb 20, 2019, 22:43 The Half Elf

Been off the radar last few months, as I went through some rough times hitting the 5 year mark of my mom's death in August. Was using on and off to get through the anniversaries. Wasn't really sure why I couldn't drop the habit again and after having my local Boys in Blue run some lab work for me found out that someone has switched my Foldgers Coffee, with something that had a little something extra called Fentanyl. I got lucky as there were 38 OD's from Meth and Fent mixed. I got REALLY close to OD'ing once, and thanks to the power of Amazon (as an employee the really do have everything from A to Z including amazing benefits), took some more time off work, got clean solo (which isn't as hard as you think once you actually believe you have the power to do it), and joined an amazing group therapy session with a therapist who has been through the shit, and keeps it very real.

So back to National Love Your Pet Day. House was broken into, after coming home briefly to get a mattress delivered (still looking for that freaky someone to help break it in! :)) and going back to work. Sucks having junkies now on BOTH sides of your house. Came home, was greeted at the door like I am every day. Searched the house 10 times top to bottom. (My cat is a dog, he doesn't know he's a cat). So my cat will always come to me if I whistle Yoda's Theme by John Williams. He went missing for 4 days. So I came home from work early, was getting a shower, and I hear a cat screaming and crying. My basement door is a trap door in the floor less then 10 inches from the bathroom door. I climb out of the shower, open the door and he's sitting there. The thing about my basement is that it's 3 rooms with 1 hallway on the right side that connects all 3. Beyond a washer/dryer/water heater, everything in the rooms is boxed up or in plastic bins.
As Batz and mrgrosser can attest to, I'm an animal lover, and I spent every day I wasn't at work and group therapy searching for this cat. I take that back. He's not my cat, he's my kid. High or Sober, good or bad, broke or rich he's my buddy and he's always been there. But 4 days of not being greeted by my kid every day I came home, or flopping all over my feet as I put my shoes on to go to work every day was the hardest thing I've had to deal with in a long time. And I stayed sober during all of it.

So just over 2 months clean, with my portable lap heater/drool fur baby.

So now the fucked up news that I need some help with. This wasn't the first time that my house was broken into and a pet disappeared. The last time was a few years ago where the same thing happened but with my mom's dog, and eventually gave him up for adoption.
I can't get my family who owns the home to help with window fixes for this 106 old house, but I need to come up with a fairly user friendly security system with cameras (cause I want their junkie asses to go to jail and get caught in the act), and not break the bank (looking at Amazon's Ring System) but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

AND HAPPY FUR BABY DAY!

Dune is sci-fi at its best. Though it's actually a socio-economic comentary on ecology, religion and the class system of unbridled capitalism, disguised as sci-fi, or even fantasy really.

I hate the distinction of cerebral and non-cerebral sci-fi. True Sci-fi always makes you think. At least it should. If it doesn't it's not that good. Brainless entertainment aside, superheroes and all that shlock.

I like the fact that they are attempting another Dune, though I feel this would have been better served as a big budget series ala Game of Thrones than anything else really.

The worldbuilding is so rich that a movie would not do it justice unless they break the first book into several films. This is the biggest problem with Lynch's version really. I think it caught the atmosphere of the books really well, but it never sucked you in the way the book did, simply because so much of the book was left on the cutting room floor and Paul's transformation (the central plot of the book) never felt authentic. Also the Fremen were kind of ridiculous.

I hope they keep the Arabic roots of the Fremen intact in the new film. Though that probably won't sit well with most of the US public. Terrorists as good guys? I can see the outrage already...

Different strokes for different folks. But to say one is superior to the other is just ignorant and small minded.
As much as I agree with Cable that Dub-Step is for pussies, it doesn't mean that it's bad.

Been playing on and off all day. I spent about 2 hours in the beta weekends.
15 bucks for the current entire game. They have fixed my complaints with the beta and enjoying it a hell of a lot more then Destiny 1 and 2.

15 bucks is couch cushion money, give it a shot.

could use some more fun heavy weapons Flamethrower IMO, but I'm enjoying the heck out of it. two first place squad finishes within my first 10 games, but mostly because I lucked out and got teamed with some chads Cheers fun game to get a round or two in every once in a while at the very least. it's very fluid and accessible.

I'm with Mordi. REALLY enjoying the class based characters and with a event MEH team you can really have some great moments with the squad diversity.
You do have SOME bullet sponge'ness but that's the same with every battle royal game due to armor/shields but overall the gunplay is VERY nice.
The Squad Drop system is fucking brilliant.

Overall besides more tactical BR's this is the top of my list (AND IT'S FREE).

I need to finish it so I can finish the story of the guy (which was sadly slightly ruined in Black Flag).

But I agree this was one of the worst in the series (story wise)

Cool your horses Rodger Ram Jet.

It's a CONSOLE FLIGHT COMBAT GAME. This isn't a DCS sim. HOTAS for this is again like using the Space Shuttle Controls to fly a kite.

Now I will say this is probably a typical Ace Combat game. Strange as fuck story and acting, but beautiful aircraft/scenery/explosions (which more reviews are spot on about).

I bought a Z35 Ultrawide Curved G-Sync monitor, and have seen side by side a comparable monitor with freesync and the difference is night and day.
The extra money was worth it for G-Sync (200Hz)

Go read the Steam reviews... holy crap what a shitshow.

The game is a DLC for ARK, if you have a controller plugged in you can use it to access a ARK menu for the other DLC.

Black Friday at Amazon. Here it is.
Black Friday is one of the easiest days of the YEAR at Amazon. Why? Because of 2 day prime shipping it's Saturday that's the "unofficial first day of peak" even though technically Amazon started it a week early this year. (Overstaffed on personal and fuck-all to do makes for very long boring days).
As a member of the Logistics/TOM Team at a SC (sort center) we are a tad different then a FC (fulfillment center), we are in charge of making sure all your crap gets on a truck and sent to the Amazon Post office (a SC/Sort Center), sorted out even more and off the property. A "busy" normal weekend is roughly 350k packages a day, but during peak last year and this year we will cap out around 720-750k packages a day. We were suppose to be in "Phase 2" and be the first sort center to push a million packages a day, but that "being planned" since we opened the biggest SC in Amazon Oct of last year.
I'm still pissed about this 15 bucks an hour bullshit Amazon is spewing. 15 bucks an hour for PART TIME ASSOCIATES, where Full Timers under a certain level lost VCP/UPT Monthly bonus, NO MORE STOCKS for full timers (thank god I got mine before this happened), more duties put on full timers and taken away from part timers etc.
But after all is said and done I like Peak. Enough bonuses last year so my HTC Vive headset was 5 bucks, and this year instead of doing stupid gift card shit we are getting straight cash.
Then again after being off work for 3 months on medical leave I'm just happy to be back at work.
