Isn't two weeks about what it takes to learn how to take off in one of those planes?

I was about to say "Anyone want to come visit for 2 weeks to show me how to operate one of these vehicles?"

I wish they'd do something else with this license, instead of yet another park builder..

Well the first game wasn't even really a park building. Everyone was hoping for RCT/Planet Coaster and was greatly disappointed.
Hopefully this corrects that.

I mean, that's not really too surprising, is it? They need to write everything, then the sets/costumes/cgi is not exactly cheap, I wonder if they broke 300 million in costs on the last season, including actor salaries. Might as well take the time to do it properly.

It has more to do with that Book of Fett just wrapped up and Obi Wan is currently in production and using The Volume.

There is a "behind the scenes" for Season's 1 and 2, and the CGI is actually fairly cheap. Really worth a watch.

Considering how bad the auto-aim is on the PC anyway how much worse will it be to compensate for console gamers.

Did you say that backwards?

edit: Relevant part from the FAQ:
Will console aim-assist be enabled when I match up with a PC player?
No. Console aim-assist will be disabled by default if you group up with a PC player to equalize play during the match.

If you're not away, Overwatch on PC has some major auto aim (go check out Hanzo and his headshot hitbox videos in the Google Lands).

Actually one of the games I wouldn't mind having a BR mode in.

They probably don’t want to muddy the waters and compete with Apex Legends. I never liked BR much anyway so this is a plus for me.

It also seems that by its nature it takes over the game anyways, like what happened with Fortnite

Well the original Fortnite project (before BR) was an interesting concept in Tower Defense, but was so mind numbingly boring that it never really took off (and no one was gonna pay for it).

But BR with 4 teams squads in BF would be great, as it's had squad's for decades now and invited working as a team vs Warzone where ya get a bunch of individuals.

Ehhh.. I mean, I'm looking forward to it but that trailer wasn't all that exciting to me.

(up to) 128 players and 7 maps at launch. Hmm. They must be pretty big maps, guess there's no in-between?

What you're missing about the trailer is the vast majority of things in the trailer have been done in Battlefield games by players, (IE: the guy ejecting from the plane and using the launcher and getting back into the aircraft).

And if it's like previous games they will have servers (they make tons of money off the rentals) and there will be plenty of smaller player count servers (my favorites personally).

I dream of the day a game is released on a PC storefront and the comments aren't about the storefront instead of the game.

Then again my memory is shit, I'd be willing to bet 12 years ago every other comment section was people bitching about a game being release on Steam instead of good old Wal*Mart or Gamestop.

And how long ago was that?

Let's be blunt, I don't park my car at my home, put my clothes at a storage facility and my bed in a 3rd location. Epic has prices, coupons and exclusives. So take the games I have purchased on EGS (4 or 5), vs the 100's or so I have on Steam.

But you can't disregard the game without mention of the storefront it's on.

I'm not really a football guy, but for roughly 7 years both the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals started off the season horribly, rallied back to make the playoff game and then sabotaged themselves out of the playoff (especially the Bengals). So if it's to the point where I'm watching the game, and screaming and yelling and cussing, ya know it was bad.

I always have to question games that are described as an "exploration game". Is it a technical feat/experiment or is there actual fun gameplay somewhere to be found? Anyhow, you've got to hand it to the devs for all the updates since release. I've heard that the co-op mode is a bit clunky, and in some aspects it doesn't make much sense, so if they ever straighten that out, I might give it a try

It's like Minecraft in space, or a set of Lego. You're enjoyment is more or less based on what you put into it.

3400 queue up on Mankrik. Can't wait for the Outland world server to crash and go through it all again while I wait on respawns in between.

Why would you (try to) play on launch day?

WoW is 17 years old ffs and people still queue up on launch day...

Because everything has to go through the Login/Authentication server then gets pushed to their servers.

There wasn't enough variation among the NPC's, IE: get the voice modulation working correctly and more body types.

At least take the city and give it to the Division team to Pandemic'fy

When a triple-A game doesn't do all that well, throw some zombies in a DLC and hope for the best

It's not a triple A game. It has a great base but it's pretty obvious that the talent was taken to other projects and covid issues affected it.
