I can't blame you for wanting to pass something by because of the name. I do it all the time with bands that have names that make me think they won't be any good. Stupid mistake I've made a bunch of times.
You really should take the time to check out the game, it's really good. LOTS of depth to it. I'm absolutely loving playing through it. Great time.

Just got done playing a round and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Never really gave RTCW multi a chance so I have no idea what any sort of difference is but this was really fun.
Best of all is that it is also free. YAY!

What other game has KnowWonder done that is based on any of Tolkien's work? Not saying this is going to be a good game but at least make claims based in reality...
as to how much the game 'sucks' i can't say because I haven't played it, but one thing I can say about the patches that have been released is that they are addressing issues related to the multiplayer experience. So if the main game plays fine (Again I don't know about that) then I don't see why it is a bad thing that they are acting quickly to make sure the multiplayer experience is the best it can by improving the lobby and things like that?
I'm just happy it's coming to PS2, makes me happy.
I thought the tech demo was pretty sweet. I am quite interested to see how well it would run with a level that has more going on but I was quite happy that even on my 1.3 Athlon with 256 meg/ram and geforce 4 4200 that it ran smooth as butter.
I bought the original when I saw it for $5 only to see how bad it really was and I must say it was really bad. Levels were poorly designed, basically all the gameplay revolved around finding a colored key to open a door. Really odd story as well. Very mediocre game... don't know why a sequel would be getting made, hopefully it can improve upon all the weak spots...
Maybe you should read the post to see what the patch actually fixes before condemming shit. All the patch fixes is issues with the multiplayer lobby. It changes absolutely nothing gameplay wise.

I thinkt this could be an interesting game. And the inclusion of things besides just building a park make it sound even more interesting... Here's to hoping...

Now played and it seems interesting. Main complaint is that the controls don't seem tight enough, other than that is seemed amusing. Neat gameplay types, I like the idea of the missions altho they aren't very deep.

this sounds like a man who feels he has earned all he needs and is now truly doing what he wants just because he loves it. that is truly awesome.
I think it looks good. I would prefer a combat system similar to Fallout's. To me that is the best combat system yet devised in an RPG. But i'll take what i can get so a game using the SPECIAL system is good enough. Also the story sounds cool.

I'm playing the full game and I am quite enjoying it. Not the best game ever but it is fun. It gives you more things to do to keep you moving along. I think it is a good step forward in the MMORPG category.
Is the demo any longer than just the prelude? Did I miss something while playing it? For 390 megs it seems awfully short. I can't decide if it would be worth the money.
