ETQW

I wonder how they are going to implement a fun factor with games that only have a small number of players connected.
They obviously didn't make any A.I. as that increases the cost and time needed.
This game looks deep. I can not see servers that are half full having action paced play. After reading the impressions on firingsquad it seems that inorder to see all these classes and objectives fullfilled, and infantry and vehicles ect.. then one has to join a server with alot of players.

It really is to bad they did not implement even a rudimentary A.I. or even some pathing system and let the mod makers out there develop it via an sdk.

Sli is just a temporary fad until dual core gpu's get produced. Hell quad core cpu's are not that far off.

Hopefully Ati can get there first

I was watching the movie the island a couple nights ago. I was enjoying it until I saw the xbox crap on the wall and the msn search sign. What a way to ruin the escape from reality.
I actually paused the movie and went and did some laundry at that point.

Advertising sucks, I will always do what I can to get away from it.

I did not know that, I missed the beginning of this show on the discovery ch.
I did get to see the mole they used tho. would have been a treat running it. Of course all the hard work would then have been done by a mole designed around 1990.

They would have used satelites around 1990 to help them hit thier mark. but still smart engineers earned thier money making this.

Ya that mega project is crazy, What blew me away is that the project currently consumes enough electricity to power a city of 300,000. It's nuts that a loose bolt can cause weeks of delay and costs millions. The tunnel is massive Incredible job in boring it out.

Switzerland sure is getting to be a technicaly advanced place, I also have been watching this project develop http://www.geotimes.org/feb03/feature_tunnel.html

I drive trains in the Rogers Pass thru the Mount Macdonald Tunnel (14 kilometers ) and also had the experience in working on work trains during its construction.
http://www.eng.ucalgary.ca/CSCE-Students/structural_tunnels.htm
but this doesn't even come close to that 57 kilometer tunnel.

Now now, calling Id down is just not fair.

The WHOLE game industry is lame, nothing innovative has been generated in a long time. One only has to look at the release of the 360 box, The titles for that are all reruns with a bit of new paint and features thrown in. and it will be at least 6 months before anything good gets released for it, and even then the themes for those games will probably be nothing new.

For me, games will only be entertaining once developers start improving the artificial intelligence and giving us a challenge. Far to many games can be completed in a weekend.

I play in epic mode inorder to get the game to last longer.

My first few games where played at normal speed and the game went so fast that I never got to play war with the early pieces such as archers and axemen, or the use of forts ect.
But what I am finding in epic mode is that the some Ai seem to leave you in the dust if you spend alot of time fighting.

The game is addicting I find i am looking at the clock saying damn I should be asleep.

" I could also claim that PCs are teh suxor at driving games and fighting games because of the mouse and keyboard."

I beg to differ on this point spume, I'm a lot more immersed in my driving games with my momo wheel and pedals at my desk then anyone will ever be sitting on their couch with the screen 10 - 15 feet away.

As for fighting games, well the developers don't make anything good for the pc, my saitek controller would have no problem handling them tho.

I've been inching going back to dial-up, it'll save me money, and prevent some bad habits, helping save me from wasting my life infront of a box.

All these ATI video card reviews and not one of them are for what im interested in.

Ati give us a hint at your mobility chip plz.

Interested in seeing if a x700 chip be changed out easily.
So far Nvidia has me peeved as there is no good whitebook options out there.

Self customizing notebooks are the next big market and so far Im getting old waiting for it to evolve.

Microsoft soon to be known as microtrash.

All companies should be taxed hard or forced to have a return postage preapplied to a one time use product.

Disposable dvds are going to add up to a big recycling problem . Video stores will have to have a return policy inorder to force a customer to return a used dvd to get the next one. But like that will ever work.
