I think about this game and how they talk about streamlining
to me streamlining isn't taking away the complexity of things but instead making the complex things easier to manage
Rise of nations did this superbly. it had a lot of complexities but i never felt hindered or frustrated with it because it was so easy to work with.

and i agree I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for a 15 hour game either
hell last week i just bought heavy metal fakk 2 in a 5 game set for 6 bucks. its less than 15 hours but it was a lot of fun anyways

please forgive my grammer, i'm getting a dizzy spell and i'm off to bed

I agree with you on all those points, I also was disapointed with the fact that the game didn't seem to take advantage of the time period, Industrial music playing in the 1940's was odd, bloodraynes attitude was out of place (I think way to modern) and the fact that her outfit was akin to a girl I met at the Rocky Horror Picture Show. and considering they spent so much time on the character I didn't care about her one bit.

I think popular anymore means it has recieved a lot of media attention and gamer recognition (be it good or bad).

That article on caffine explains a few things for me. I have some sort of wierd condition in which if i have anything that contains caffine (including chocolate) I get really sleepy. One time I had a small drink (about half a shot) from an energy drink (rockstar) and I ened up passing out on the floor of my friends appartment for 3 hours. So this explains why I got so tired at dinner 2 nights ago. At least i will never be an insomniac *grins*

Thanks Shnapple, I had heard a game developer had a preview but I didn't know which one. I'm listening to it now, gotta say I like it too. As for the game, I'll play a demo before i make any real choices on if it sucks or not. But I won't hold my breath.

I'll have to pick up a copy when I get paid. The demo was the most enjoyable demo I have played since the original Unreal Tourney demo,in fact, i'm going to go play it again right now.

I don't care which one of you is real. Neither of you are posting anything worth my time as it is. I'm 2 posts away from labeling you an attention whore.

I don't like buy a game without a demo either, OR a chance to play it before I buy it. My funds are just too tied up with college expenses to get a pc game that costs as much as a cheap text book unless I know its worth my time and money investment, and the only way i really think I'll know is if I play it.

But that is just my way, for all those buying it, I hope you enjoy it, and I'll likely envy you too.

i've noticed something about the y project.
in all the screen shots i've seen, i have yet to see a single crate or shipping container of any kind.
maybe i'm not looking hard enough.

or maybe they are smart enough to realize they don't need to use the tired game cliche of crates.

i am really impressed with these myself.
but then again i'm a sucker for great cyberpunkish visuals (which these shots lovingly fullfill).

As i understand it, the british government funds the television so ratings would not matter as much to the bbc, i could be mistaken of course

i was told by a school shrink that youth suicides often are at their highest during spring
i don't recall the reason for this
i have a feeling it has something to do with "spring romances" or something similar
