I was really tempted to get in to WoW - the ethos was very interesting and while playing Warcraft 3, I had always imagined how much fun it would to get on to the "troop" ground level, instead of the "general" overhead level to see what the game played like.

But the monthly $15 fee and the many problems at launch scared me away. Fortunately school intervened and kept me busy, and HL2 soon made me forget WoW. When I got tired of HL2 DM, I started looking at WoW again, but did not want to make the jump since I was now behind the hardcore players in a way, and the $15 still discouraged.

Fortunately for me, Guild Wars was released just in time

Admirable that fans are dedicated enough to make such a patch. Sad that the publisher/developer is not doig their job. And even more sad if this becomes an expectation/trend by developers of their fan base.

You can always leave that guild. But I believe there is a limit to how many times you can switch guilds - so always think it over before you join. Of course if you are happy with the guild you joined, you can stay with them - there is nothing that stops you from partnersing with other guild members in PvE areas.

Honest Question, not trying to start a flame war...

Bought a 9800 Pro AIW. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy another ATI AIW without hesitation. If I were buying a "regular" high-end performance 3d card, it would be a toss up between ATI and NVidia, and the decision would be based on overall performance, not drivers.

Except for when KOTOR1 was initially released and I had some problems running the game, I have not had a single problem in any other game. I did have graphical glitches running a beta Far Cry demo, but not the later ones.

I used to buy games all the time that I got bored of after a week (some more, some less), but let's say one game per month, at $45 (to make the math easier).

That is a highly subjective opinion on games. Just because you think it is shitty does not mean it is the same for everyone else who plays that game. Besides, no one is forcing you to buy a game a month. Unlike in an MMORPG, where you have to keep your subscription going month after month and cannot cancel or you lose your characters that you worked so hard developing/farming.
