Can't say I'm surprised at all by details of the PC version. Sounds like the typical issues with a PC port of console game. I ordered the X360 version and UPS should be delivering my copy later today.
Mouse control is very good for this fast-paced game and the graphics on max settings look amazing. Despite the DRM hassle (which you can remove if you want) I am not jealous in the least of you getting the console version

and neither did AC: Brotherhood
Oh and the comment by m0deth that Epic knows "dickle about coop games" cracked me up good. The Gears of War games are some of the best co-op shooters on console.
Did you actually play AC:B MP? It's pretty damned good and not at all the "tickbox" type of MP. They actually took their time and did it properly. Not going to even touch the Gears of War comment.

In this case I will very readily use "everyone," as I'm pretty much the only person in this post willing to admit that companies would rather shoe-horn in multiplayer for the sake of sales than cut it for the sake of quality. If Epic was as evil and greedy as everyone here keeps claiming they'd pretty happily slap in multiplayer, which is already in the engine, just to brag about it on the back of the box.

We get it. Go somewhere happy, like Kotaku. Over there everything is puppies and rainbows, the gaming industry has never been better, Bobby Kotick is the fucking champion of the people, and cliffyb is the PC platform's last remaining hero.
Beamer wrote on Feb 20, 2011, 14:53:QFT... Cliffyb sold out and is now backstabbing the PC gaming community. whaa whaa whaa whaa...
But yeah, this thread will be full of people hating just because they hate Cliff and they hate Epic. No one will stop and think about whether this sounds pretty true, or how co-op could drastically change the way a game is played. Armchair developers just want a feature, not concern about whether a feature fits gameplay.
Yifes wrote on Oct 13, 2010, 16:04:Wow, just wow. I'm still working through the second link, but this is some serious dirty crap Icefrog is pulling. And Valve seems to be backing him up all the way. Glad I have zero interest in this new game (and DOTA in general).
Also, these articles claim that Icefrog was working for S2, makers of HoN (another DotA clone) for years, meaning that S2 may own the rights to some of DotA's heroes:

Are people really fine with paying $60 for the next two games as well? That's a joke I hope...? Surely you would not be expecting $60 for each instead of $40 at max? I guess we have to wait and see what they deliver in each but is anyone ready to spend $60 on the next part of this game?
elefunk wrote on May 4, 2010, 03:58:Well stated... I'm so tired of hearing people bitch about SC2 while hardly knowing anything about the game. I guess I should be glad this thread isn't filled with posts spouting bs about the 3 part idea being pushed onto Blizzard by Bobby Kotick.
Perhaps if you guys spent less time bitching about "OMG ONLY ONE RACE" and more time actually reading about what the game has perhaps you'd learn a thing or two? Stupid situations like this are why the gaming world laughs at petulant PC gamers - they'd rather bitch and whine about flawed and incomplete information than actually learn about amazing games being put out by one of the best developers on the planet that's never created a bad game in its entire existence.
eRe4s3r wrote on May 4, 2010, 06:56:The reason for splitting SC2 into 3 parts isn't a mystery at all. Blizzard explained their options at Blizzcon 2008. They could either:
Its still only 1 race though. And Terrans of all things. If the Map Editor is really as powerful as they claim then maybe it will not be a boring campaign, we'll see.
The reason for the split is a mystery. But fact is that its not a Zerg campaign and not a Protoss campaign. So all we get to do with Zerg and Protoss in SP is play skirmish. Not cool.
As a SP gamer that means the game is worth 20$ max (to me) ^^ Maybe if the trilogy is complete it'll be worth full price for SP only.
