If such a person does manage to work up the nerve to seek help (and that can be
extremely difficult for someone who is depressed), they will probably try just that one time and give up. If their phone can direct them to help when they ask, what is the harm in that? They may even be more likely to ask their phone because their phone won't shame them or tell them to suck it up. It's easy for someone who is not clinically depressed to say "call 911" or "call a friend or relative," but if it was that easy for the depressed person they would have done that. It's not a rational impasse that logic can defeat.
