"happens in threes" theory

I was contemplating this "happens in threes" theory as well and found myself asking, "Might things happen in Pi's or maybe things happen in sqrt(2)'s?" But then again that's just irrational...

Actually UT2K3 has turned out to be a very good game, at least for us deathmatchers that liked UT. The weapons are balanced and each is useful. The adreniline adds an extra strategic element to the game and the fast pacing makes the game challenging when you play against others that are good. There are already some good user made DM maps to make up for the lackluster maps that shipped with the product and all of the DM maps that came with the bonus pack are very good. It will get even better when Epic releases thier bonus pack, I am awaiting Cliffy B's map/maps in particular.

Behold, behold, who laid the golden turd?
Termite did and how absurd.
Blue gives us his lofty word
That NWO would be procured
To ship next month so be assured
You will gaze upon this golden turd
On or about December third.

Thanks for that one, it was hilarious, especially that end when he high fives his buddy at the bar. It almost sounds like a bad upn/wb sitcom.

Great, a self-righteous twit will bring an exact copy of herself into the world, that's just what this planet needs. If they are so fvcking religious, why not ADOPT one of the uncountable children on this planet that don't have parents?

Science is wonderful and everything but it's ability to help morons procreate really sucks...

And as for the military getting domestic police power, I think Bush and his cronies have mistaken the Constitution for toilet tissue. I'm more afraid of our government these days than any terrorist.

"I will wait at least until a few weeks after release and the prices to come down to sane levels. Then I plunk down my money. "

I agree completely. Neverwinter Nights and Warcraft may be worth the money to the folks that enjoy those genres. However, 99% of the computer games out there arent worth $50 much less $55-60!

I really dont feel I got my money's worth on a computer game since UT, which is sad because that was almost 3 years ago. Instead I have headed to the console camp where the games are ~$5 cheaper and usually more enjoyable. I had no regrets paying $45 for eternal darkness, I do regret buying Soldier of Fortune 2 for $50.

This little side scroller was a pretty good game. I enjoyed it from begining to end. They did a good job in presenting duke, unlike many other 3rd party Duke games.

I think DNMP would be a runnaway hit on any of the consoles...

Yeah right, that has really worked for the 40 year old "war on drugs". Street drugs are banned but plenty of ppl in the gov or otherwise still blame them for society's ills.

Bounty said: "When some psycho kid goes and kills some people and then they find a copy of the first Doom on his computer, the whole video games industry is the problem, and violent games should be outlawed."

Of course violent videogames are the underlying cause of all the worlds problems. The whole WTC bombing was planned during a marathon Doom Deathmatch between Osama and his al queda cronies.

Seriously though, any time congress/house comes up with some new hair-brained law I get nervous. Suppose this stupid law passes. It would be illegal to sell M rated games to minors in the same way it is illegal to sell alcohol/firearms to minors.

What if I have GTA3 in my house and my 7 year old son plays it while I'm away. Would I then be legally responsible for endangering a minor as I would if he got a hold of my guns or my booze?

Why wouldn't a 16 year old be able to purchase State of Emergency but no one would bat an eye if that same 16 year old went into Blockbuster and rented Gladiator or Platoon?

Mr Baca should be focusing himself on Cailfornia's budget and energy crisises instead of trying to sensationally make a name for himself like that sorry twit Leiberman.

And I quote "EA is really shooting themselves in the foot with this one."

No, EA is shooting Crave, Barking Dog and all of us in the GO community in the ass with this one. I almost think tht EA is screwing up with GO on purpose so they wont have to put any more money into the game.

Too bad because GO is the best multiplayer game to come out since UT...

I did not care much for the first GO demo that came out. I liked the gameplay but the netcode sucked. Since then I borrowed GO from a friend, patched it to 2.0 and played it. I went out the next day and bought the game for myself and have been playing it every day since.

There are still a few bugs that have to be addressed, however the game is extremely playable on a good internet connection. The maps are very well done and BDS made a good decision to make antartica the demo map because it is a great map, one of my favorites.

Bottom line: If you like CS but hate the level of maturity of a good portion of CS players (cheaters, shit talkers, so on), then doo yourself a favor and pick up this game. The gameplay is great, the guns are satisfying, and the people who play the game online are top notch. Believe it or not, actual team play goes on in this game on PUBLIC servers, something that is extremely rare on CS public servers.

Talk crap about the army if you will, someone has to do it, but the multiplayer fps game doesnt look too bad and the price is right. I know I already paid for it thru taxes but I would rather have a $7 million unreal engine team based shooter than a $1000 toilet seat any day.

I really like the idea of having to train for the class (sniper) you want to play. People out there will actually know what they are doing. I would like to see the other branches of service get into this and maybe we could see something like army/vs navy where the seals try to take a base that the army is defending. Or even air force sims where you get to fly sorties as an air force pilot. All for free, boy would the jokers who are pumping out half ass games for $50 a pop be in trouble it would force them to make thier games better and we the gamers win!

As for the propaganda, Im over draft age and have no aspirations for joining the army, but I love team based tactical shooters ;p

theAntiELVIS was very badly mistaken when he wrote: "Much better programmable calculator"

I'll have you know, sir, that the HP 49G has the most powerful CAS of any graphing calculator, plus it sports more RAM than any TI calc so it will definately NOT handle more mail.

I would rather be dead than live without my beloved HP 49G.

Whachootalkinbout sucka?

Cmon now, in how many games can you sneak up behind some fool and jam a sword thru thier neck? Give it props for that @ least!

BO2 is a good game. Yes the visuals are not as good as SR2, but the combat system is better. Also, unlike SR/SR2 the extra powerups that you get during the game are actually used. he puzzles are easier as well. There were some hard ass puzzles in SR2...

Personally, I am having a great time playing thru this one. I loved SR and SR2 (didnt like BO1, not an RPGer) and BO2 is a worthy addition to the universe.

And I quote: "Ms. Mallard's lawyer, Mike Heiskell, said he believed 'this was simply a case of failure to stop and render aid.'

I think he should go to jail right along with her for coming up with this lameduck defense. He's so full of shit its coming out of his mouth."

What does he care? He's getting paid win or loose. He can make up any bullshit defence he likes. The bitch commited murder in cold blood and she's gonna need a pantload of extacy to make prison bearable.

Plus I agree with the mother of the poor homeless wretch. This is all her fault. This will teach her for not praying enough!!!

LOL, If memory serves, that ad came out a couple weeks before the movie did. Damn we should have known SWE1 was going to be complete ass after seeing that mess.
