AT&T can burn to the ground. Their CEO can kiss my ass sideways too. These bastards are greedy as all hell with the crappiest network on the planet. And this whole, 2% of heavy data users as the reason they're making these changes is a load of BS and every one knows it. No, it's the large majority of users using a lot of bandwidth b/c of the way the Internet has become. It's media rich these days. It's not 1994 any more. It's obvious that's why they're changing policy. In order for a small percentage to be causing such a huge problem, like 2% like everyone likes to say, they'd have to download hundreds upon hundreds of gigs or more per month and that is NOT going to happen given 3G's download rates. Even on faster speeds, like 4G/WiMax it would be hard for such a small percentage to use enough to bog the ENTIRE system down. It's all a bunch of crap.

Then they BS us by saying they're doing this so the customers can pay less. LOL! Yeah, like a big corporation is going to do something to cause a drop in their revenues out of the goodness of their hearts for their customers. BAHAHAHAHA! That'll be the day. Instead they're up to their old game of giving less for the same price or more.

So what good is all these powerful mobile media devies, like any HTC, iPhone, iPad, etc if you have very tight bandwidth limits? Forget about streaming more than a few vidoes, HD videos, Netflix, etc. What makes me even more aggravated is the number of moron people who fall for all this saying how reasonable the service plans are and these changes are good and make sense, yada yada. So many blind sheep willing to bend over and take it in the rear while the big company can rake in BILLIONS every quarter and the execs can have tens of millions in bonuses and crap. Bah.

I'd say he nailed it. But it is what it is... as they say. Now on the other hand... if we all organized... or say a large percentage of users called in and canceled their service at the same time there would be warning bells going off... and they'd have Ed Whitacre's son-in-law on the bat-phone planning an emergency media event to stop the hemorrhaging. Sadly this will never ever happen... but I can dream, right?

I haven't played AP but I have to agree on those statements concerning Deus Ex. It was more about the over-all game play than the separation and criticism of each of it's aspects. And it's true. It's one of those games that had less shine on the surface but more than enough depth.

Thanks for the link Half Elf. Now that I've see they went as far as using Adam Lambert as one of the spy characters in the game... I'm going to have to pass on this one.

I played GTA4 on the 360 and now I'm playing RDR on the PS3. I can't really see what they are complaining about. The RDR cut scenes to me look worse than the in-game play. And it was that way on the 360 with GTA4. But I'm not a graphics whore. I mainly care about the game-play.

I've played about twelve hours now. Half on my slim PS3 on a 28" Hanns-G 1080p LCD and the rest of the time was spent play on the older fat 80gb PS3 using a 50" Panasonic 1080p Plasma. It looks good on both but the plasma takes the prize. Runs smooth and looks fine on both my PS3s.

My friend plans on getting a second copy so he can play the Co-Op and multi-player with his son on the 360. I'm curious to see what he says.

As far as the horse running speed... it just takes a tap of the button to spur the horse every three or four seconds to keep it at max speeds. I think the horse riding is very well done. In fact at times if you're going to save some of those strangers in trouble ride up on them at full speed with your weapon drawn hit Dead Eye and pick out your targets.

My biggest complaint is the Dead Eye version that picks the shot for you. Once it starts pick the shots and placing the Xs on it's own I'm finding it less enjoyable. Is there a way to shut off the middle version of Dead Eye when it starts picking your shots? I hear there are three versions of Dead Eye in the game.

Huge Loss? Anyone who wants the new version isn't buying the old one anymore either way. Only those who are poorly informed or have no patience are buying the older 3GS.

It's old school RTS... and I never cared much for the original... so when comparing it to something like CoH, I'll pass.

I still have my hopes set on D3.

I loved G3 more than Oblivion. And if you want to talk about a game with show-stopping bugs look no farther than FO3. To this day I haven't finished it due to the constant crashes to desktop. I plan on picking up FO3 GOTY for the PS3 since the PC version won't run on my current system for more than a few minutes. Of course if I build a new PC anytime soon I may be able to play it then...

Early on the PvP servers were a mixed bag. I loved the one on one or even taking on two people trying to gank me. Even better was for them to find out I could kill them both and they would come back for revenge until I killing them repeatedly. Chasing them out of the zone.

Hunting some solo gankers was great fun... as long as their level wasn't too far out of league with yours. I even had a hit list of ass-hats who I hunted whenever possible. Well, until so many players hit the level cap and started grieving low level players at spawn areas (as somebody else pointed out earlier in this thread).

Without a doubt some of the best MMO combat to date. I want to try it again but I'll have to start a new character this time. I jumped in for a welcome back thing and could barely remember how to play the old characters.

Not a bad looking CE. Hope it's not $99.99 like some other CE is selling for...

edit: Not sure if I should be happy it's only $79.99 or $69.99 if you go PC.

I've got it pre-ordered for the PS3. But who knows I may still be too busy with Red Dead Redemption to buy it on release. I'm also worried that the over-all feel and mechanics (game-play) will look/feel kind of clunky. Ever since seeing a video of actual in-game combat that looked poorly animated... several months back... I have been second guessing the purchase on release day option.

Is this real enough for you?

I just got it via e-mail. I don't troll their forums or sites. But I'm interested on seeing the game in action... maybe even beta testing if I get lucky. Most likely will play this one at some point in the next year or two since it's not slated until next year. According to some guy on their forum...

Edit: I found even more bad-ass in-game combat videos. Check out the combat tactics of the Sarlacc Enforcer.

These types of corperations and their dealings have destroyed the American economy by screwing over the little guy with their douchebaggery. They screw everyone in their path all in the name of greed.

Have you been working for Corporate America too? After you work for a corporation for more than a year you start to realize that greed is the driving factor for ever single thing they do... nothing else matters.

LOL, thats exactly what I said to a friend earlier today. In fact as I recall, didn't new line claim they didn't owe anything because the money was supposed to be a percentage of the net, and they said they didn't make any net money on the LotR trilogy? (aka hollywood math, kinda like music studio math)

Were I work (for the Evil Empire) we call that fuzzy math. Meaning they can spin the numbers to mean whatever it is they want them to mean. Even if it make no sense what so ever. For example... I am graded on ten different factors to determine what my over-all productivity is. Half of those factors are controlled by the company. It's the same reason why the Union had the team award removed from the contract because the company would constantly spin the info and short us on our bonus. The less money they give to employees the more money they get to keep... greed is good, if you're already filthy rich.

Nothing new here. And I agree it's the greed of the filthy rich that has ruined this country and our economy. From the corruption in our government to the CEOs running these douchebag companies.

Yeah, it was like beta testing the original Ultima Online. They mailed you a CD. Crazy how far we beta testers have come, right? When I beta tested Age of Conan they made us download pretty much the entire game client each week. Instead of just patches. If I remember right it was over 29GB.

After hearing a reviewer stating that the single player game for Splinter Cell Conviction is just over five hours long... I now know why they are really hyping the beta access codes package in with the discs.

Even with the Co-Op game adding several more hours of game play it's a no sale for me and most of the friends I have spoke with. Sad that under ten hours is now the norm.

I agree, C1 and C2 were better than C3 though C3 had a lot of good ideas gone horribly wrong. I can't speak for Strike Force but from looking at the reviews I didn't miss much.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/commandosstrikeforce#usercomments

What I'd like to see them do is take C4 even further... something more toward the game-play in Silent Storm but improve on the formula even more. I know there isn't a huge market for that so the chances are about the same as a snowball in Hell. Either way since we are just wishing here I figured I would throw in my two cents.

Glad to see so many of you are so open minded as to play indie games... yet you must admit it's very bizarre that some are also so close minded as not to except someone else's opinion concern a game. Strange crowd here at times.

Maybe I'm just getting old and didn't smell the blood in the water?

Mag, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. As far as I can see the downloads and activations are not a problem. You will need to deactivate copies before building a new system or reinstalling your OS I would assume. Though I just migrated from Window 7 RC to Windows 7 Professional and the game (Dragon Age) was on a separate partition and works fine from either copy last I checked.

You can even register your DVD keys and download a copy from EAs site if you break or lose the disc. Not bad as far as I'm concerned. Not that most of us will use the feature.
