No hype, no word of mouth, no advertising, no extended beta. Yeah, this game's gonna be around for 10 months tops. |

Whether you believe in it or not, the F2P works in attracting big player counts and generates revenue through lots of bite sized transactions adding up to more than the player is willing to spend in one chunk. It has worked very well for them and they have the player counts to (mostly) back up that hyperbole. |

They did yield XP and IP before. It seems to be AI improvements, plus bots for champions that didn't have bots before, and a snazzy new interface for arranging all matches/entering matchmaking so that you can queue and get put automatically into a compstomp game instead of having to create your own custom game and wait for people to join. |

I'm pretty sure those Korean guys who died playing Starcraft beat that record handily. |

It will also feature a higher performance Hardcore Mode for players looking to play the way operatives train. As one final note for Windows PC gamers everywhere, Atomic listened and included dedicated server support, with remote administration." What about mouse support and higher resolutions? Oh shit, Valve never said Portal 2 had mouse support or support for resolutions over 720p either. Guess we should burn and destroy them.
ASeven wrote on Jan 14, 2011, 10:34: Dedicated servers with remote administration? Isn't that the same kind of servers that Bad Company 2 and Black Ops use? All dedicated servers have some sort of remote administration program. The difference with BC2 and Black Ops is that you can only rent from preapproved companies, and the dedicated server application itself is not released so you can't turn any spare server you have into dedicated server. |

Beenox is Shit. I guess that makes them a good fit considering the quality of the last few Spider-man titles. |

I would even use the Caplock key if companies would just make it clear whether product keys are case sensitive. |

I could not be more pissed at the existence of Assassin's Creed or of people who bought all these games. To me, it is the ultimate triumph of Style over Substance - animations/immersion over actual gameplay. Give people some brooding euro-ninjas and cool execution scenes, and suddenly the complete lack of coherent gameplay design is overlooked. Fuck this franchise. Give me a proper non-console sequel to Thief 2. |

Verno wrote on Dec 1, 2010, 13:55: Did they ever release that big patch for this? It's sitting around just waiting to be played but the AI is awful and the late game performance used to be terrible. If they've fixed those things then hopefully I can actually finish a whole game now. Don't know what 'big' patch you mean, but they're up to 5 patches so far. |

WoW is only up to its 3rd expansion in 6 years. Everquest has had 17 expansions over a period of 10 years. You can call it milking when WoW gets up to double digits.
Diablo III followed by expansions in Q2 2013 and Q4 2014 Wtf? Expansions two and three years after release? |

You sucked. I mean, you really sucked. The main game wasn't even that difficult; as I said, there's a lot of leeway given when you're not competing against anyone. Granted I can imagine that not every game is enjoyable by everybody, but it wasn't the controls, it was you. I don't complain because I can't pull off anything complicated in Street Fighter IV.
As for controls, PC was better due to the fact that you could 'aim' where you were going more accurately, instead of making tiny course corrections constantly (which slows you down). |

Yes, the narrative sucked, but the difficulty was kind of the point. The truly fluid stuff you only learn when the situation makes it necessary, e.g. doing the time trials ladders and trying to squeeze yourself into a top spot. It's only impressive when it's difficult. |
