Anyone against anit-cheating software, 1st party or 3rd party is probably a cheater themseleves.. it's not as if it's going to cost the gamer anything is it.. so what is the problem ?
The developer will always try to plug as many holes as possible and prevent ppl from finding exploits, but as a developer in the industry with 5+ years experience I've yet to see any game code that hasn't been exploited somehow by hackers... (C&C, Starcraft, BattleZone1&2, Mechwarrior, HL, UT, QI,II,III et al to name but a few of the many)
Anything that prevents lame cheats from ruining an online experience for the rest of us is a good thing IMO.
Although I think maybe the best anti-cheat method would be for the hackers to get a girlfriend and not spend so much time trying to 'break' things
B: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
P: I think so, Brain, but where are we going to find a duck and a hose at this hour?
