Nope, it's $79.99 after a recent price-drop in preparation for the DS... which is hitting at an amazing price-point, if I may say so myself!

As previously mentioned in this thread, anyone on the fence about Mozilla/Firebird/Opera should download Avant. It's a shell for IE that gives it all the functionality of the web browser component of Mozilla and Firebird. It's blazing fast, kills pop-ups, has mouse gestures, lets you open links behind your current tab with a middle mouse button click, and includes just about anything else a modern web browser should (only issue is security, but we're savvy enough to deal with that I would think). Plus since it's just a shell you keep all your settings and have all the functionality of IE. Best solution of them all, in my opinion.

http://www.avantbrowser.com

The download is less than a meg and it has a painless uninstaller if you hate it. I can't really see how someone could, though.

And of course, if you watch the New York Mets' Armando Benitez give up the game-winning homerun, it's October 7.

Maybe he'll get it out of his system early this year, or maybe I'll tell myself that to make me feel better.

I also own a Gamecube and agree wholeheartedly, I just can't stand how everyone is under this newfound misconception that Xbox is in second place worldwide. Besides you're right, it doesn't matter one bit. I mean it's all about the games after all, but Nintendo deserves some credit. Unless Japan disappears Xbox will stay in third place for a long time.

Creston:

Can you produce those figures and their sources? Show me numbers that prove Xbox is #2 worldwide. They don't exist. You have your opinion and that's great, you're entitled to it. But the FACT is Gamecube is #2 worldwide. Believe it or don't.

OK, so the teaser worked great(ish), but now the demo refuses to start. I'm running a TNT2Ultra (I know... I know) and could actually run the teaser fine (on low detail, natch). All drivers are updated, dx is fine, and nothing has changed on my system since the teaser came out. Anyone have any clue what I can do / what's wrong? I'm stumped. I know the card has no transform and lighting support, but if that was an issue why did the teaser work?

PS my "rig" is somewhat comparable to the minimum requirements in most cases, but if it was a requirements issue, I again ask why did the teaser work?

It's crashing for me as well. Looks like the problem is with eax.dll, is there a workaround?

EDIT - Going to try Yowie's fix. Also, I'm not running a SB Live or an Audigy, just a generic PCI SB
EDIT2 (edit mania) - Got it to work! What ultimately did it was disabling audio hardware acceleration in the audio control panel of winxp. So go give that a whirl if problems persist.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine had great re-done controls on the N64 (w/ Zelda-influenced Z targeting).. unfortunately the way they released that game (Had to buy it at Blockbuster or Online) made it slip under the radar of most people. Factor 5 really did a awesome job with that port. The Indy model looks almost like the exact same one to me though... I also question the lack of GAMECUBE support. What's up with that?

Anyone else get a insufficient video ram error? I have a TNT2 Ultra (32 meg) and according to the official page the game only requires 16 megs of vram to run. I'm running win xp w/ a PIII 600 and 384 megs of ram w/ the most recent detonators. Any clue what could be wrong? I'm itching to try this game, it looks fun as hell.

I was there, it was more like 15 seconds... lots of us had them in our carts, and in the time it took to make one mouse click (to submit the order), they were gone. Stolen right out of the carts! Kinda defeats the whole notion of putting things in to said cart, doesn't it? Amazon should rename them "stealable item boxes."
