The 4k gaming flagship comes severly underdeveloped in the video RAM department with just 10 GB - not enough for 4k gaming in 2020 and on. I guess in 2021 they want to sell a 20 GB 3080 Ti to all people buying a regular 3080 in 2020. No, thanks. I can wait for either the 3080 Ti (or more likely 3070 Ti because I don't want such a hot card in my silent pc) with hopefully more RAM in 2021 or a big Navi with 12 or 16 GB VRAM this year. We will see. But this offer is just too greedy - I am not falling for it, Leather Jacket Man!
I don't believe it's the VRAM. I've not seen any glaring problems with my machine. I get close to 4K60 in Flight Sim with Ultra's settings (the game auto-selected that as a recommendation). The issue I see is with the mobo ram running at its peak of 2133 MHz. For example, my mobo and RAMM are both capable of 4000 MHz, but the mobo requires overclocking the CPU, which I won't do.
Aside: I do wonder if that is less the mobo and more the CPU. I have a 8700.
MSFS can easily use more than 10 GB VRAM. Here you can read more about it.
10 GB is not enough in 2020 unless in 2021 you want to sell a 20 GB card to the very same people who bought the 10 GB version in 2020. Bad move.

See you in 2022 then... maybe.
God Sweeney, you're such a hypocrite.
Exactly, Sweeney pissing and moaning about Apple and Goggle, and here he is doing the same exact shit to everyone else.
I guess its OK in his fucked up mind to pull this crap on everyone else but he cries a river when hes held accountable for doing it.
Hello pot, meet kettle!
Maybe Steam should throw their two cents into this to and Sue EPIC for trying to monopolize the market with the backstabbing bullshit they are doing. I mean in all honestly I think Steam might have a case in this.
Ah yes, paying studios millions to make a game a temporary exclusive on their storefront that runs on an open platform is exactly the same as charging a flat 30% to every studio that wants to sell on the one storefront allowed on a closed platform.
Exactly the same.

Think this is a good PC case? Cooler Master Silencio S600. It's $154 CDN which is fair enough. Seeing as it looks like Europe's out this Fall - le sigh - I may as well start putting together my new PC. Whilst I have to wait until Oct/Nov for the Navi 2 stuff - and corresponding mobos and ram - I figured I could at least get the case and fans now. Coolermaster fans any good or go with something else? I want something quiet and cool, with quiet being the priority. It'll be the solid case cause I don't care about RGB displays.

It is just disgusting that you dont tell people why you banned them. How can they learn from that then?
That they deleted the transaction infos on that other case doesnt surprise me then.
They seem to have the same braindead hierarchy as Twitter. Every low employee on a power trip can just play god and then the guys in higher positions defend their mistakes to the death to not seem weak.

It's a tough spot. The current league in PoE is like standard with more steps so hello boring and this is easily one of the worst seasons ever for D3.
Guess I'll learn how to play guitar or speak German.

I don't like the esthetics. This won't be a day one buy for me. It reminds me of ELEX -- the weird hybrid of future and past technology -- and my brain just thinks it's dumb
Not at all have I convinced myself that I won't like it, though, but I'll wait for the usual reviewers I trust (Worth a Buy, Skill Up, that's about it).
Play the game, learn why things they are they way they are and what the name means. Great game worth a purchase.

A $150 Diablo bust and a set of wings marks the 20th anniversary? Wow... Maybe they'll do something interesting for the 25th or perhaps Activision is just illustrating that they have lost all connection to their target market? Remember when Blizzard was a company that made games for gamers rather than lootboxes for addicts?
I'm old enough to remember a time when Blizzard released a game, it was an auto-purchase because the chances of it being good were almost guaranteed. Now, they could announce a Diablo II remake and I wouldn't even consider buying it. Even though I've been waiting for "Diablo III" for over 20 years.
I can't imagine even considering buying that Diablo bust. Let me reward Blizzard by giving them $150 for ruining the Diablo franchise! Where's Disney at, I'll buy a Rey "Skywalker" bust next for $1138?

So I've tried Borderlands 2 several times, and I get 10 hours or so into the story and it never seems to open up and I get stuck in some snowy area. I thought I've heard that at some point it becomes more like an ARPG where you grind for better loot. I've seen people with thousands of hours into it. Is there a different mode or do people just do the storyline over and over?

Remove the platforming that ruins the game and makes it extremely boring.
This is why this was the first Doom game that I did not buy on day 1 (or in pre-sale). I was never a fan of platformers and struggled with Donkey Kong and others a looong time ago. I have no desire to make this experience again even if I could Donkey Kong in the face with a shotgun this time.

Betting it will include restrictions on which platform you can release
No doubt all of these games will be permanent EGS exclusives on PC but also available on consoles despite their tyrannical 30% store "tax."
I'm guessing Epic realized that timed exclusives aren't really working out because people just wait until they're on Steam.
And for half the price too re: Boarderlands 3
And concerning the tyrannical 30% store tax on consoles, that's why PC is great, because we aren't locked into any proprietary walled-garden nonsense. We have choice. Which makes the irony all the more hilarious that a lot of PC gamers now believe that more options = bad because they want everything from one store, smells a lot like the would-be consolization of PC. There are Xbox fanbois, Playstation fanbois, and Steam fanbois, and each is worse than the last.
