Órækja Blackraven... love it.

What's so bad about EverQuest? Honestly, I've seen 3 times the articles about Dark Age of Camelot on this site than I have about EQ, and about 4 times the articles on Anarcrap Online. to be honest, I'd rather see a few more articles on EQ, simply because I know I'm not the only person playing that uses this site to get the dirt on it.

Just asking a question... curious as to what he bases his opinion on.

When this game was released, they predicted it'd be the killer of EverQuest. Hmmm, let me think... does it seem to be happening? Not even close. In fact, at least 75 percent of the people I know (and I've got connections on most servers) that left EQ for AO have been coming back...

DAoC will more than likely be a pleasant alternative to EverQuest, rather than the killer everyone's thinking it will be. Yes, people will leave EQ (again) for DAoC. However, with both of them being essentially the same mold of game, I honestly think there will be more along the lines of people going back and forth between them, depending on the mood.

Barbarians are supposed to be bigger than humans, by about half again the height. So naturally, everything's going to be bigger. Just make even better pillows for a Dark Elf. :p

Yet another case of where AO's gonna lose what little fan base they have...

In defense of the bard player, VI still hasn't figured out what to do with bard songs. Half of the stuff they did in the recent patch was reversion to the old way it was for said item or class (which,in my opinion, they should have done a long time ago).

It's for this reason alone that I really laugh at people that say DAoC is gonna be so much better...

As far as I'm concerned, y'all can take your DAoC and stick it someplace. I beta-test it when I can, and let me tell you, in my opinion, that game's as far away from being truly playable on a mass scale as AO was when it first shipped.

DAoC's gonna own? No.

Dark Age of EverQuest? Get a clue.

Out of you guys, I'll be willing to bet none of you played EQ for over a month, and never even TRIED to RP on it. I do every chance I get, and you'd be surprised how many others do. Just because YOU couldn't find an RP troupe doesn't mean that it's not there.

And finally, to the third poster: It's jackasses like you that make me GLAD you won't be cluttering up the EQ servers with your inane, mindless drivel...

I work at a Wal-Mart (where, I'm not saying). Ever since this last patch, I've had 21 requests from AO players for an exchange. Kinda funny how 17 of them went after the EverQuest Trilogy... and that we recently returned 80 copies of AO that have been in the warehouse for a month and a half. We've sold exactly 2 copies of AO in the last six weeks (both of which got returned within 2 days), while EverQuest has moved almost 40 copies (yes, that includes the exchanges).

Anarchy Online, nice knowin' ya...

A fifth plane has been confirmed down over Pennsylvania, a United Airlines flight.

Paint me a picture of a holocaust...

The death toll is being estimated at over 15,000 now, according to CNN.

And what is today's date, in nubers?

9/11

What is Osama bin Laden's name, in numbers?

9, 1, 1

Coincidence?

Well, with me very possibly being the resident EQ junkie (at least one that posts here), I'm definitely looking forward to this expansion. Despite the gripes of many (who then went on to bitch about Anarchy Online, Asheron's Call, and every other game out there because they could go from level 1 to 100 in a week and "beat" the game), this is still the best game on the market right now.

But this is the state of politics in the 21st century. Where cutthroat, greedy-ass corporations that only care about profit margins and how large their bank accounts are take a walk while regular people like you and me get screwed over trivial things. Microsoft and their linked corporations had a virtual monopoly. Do NOT try to deny this. What's happening now? A government that once tried to do the right thing in getting them to break up is suddently their biggest fan, all because of a leader change.

This is what makes me sick about America these days. Thanks to this and many other incidents that protect businesses at the expense of the common citizen, it's no longer the United States of America. It's Corporate America, and we "elect" a new CEO every 4 years... we elect his staff (House and Senate) every 4 or 6 years out of a lineup of mostly very photogenic people with a winning smile, a silver tongue, and a vacuum between the ears... however, all of them must have one thing in common (and there are VERY few exceptions to this): they can NOT give one flying f*ck about the people that they supposedly represent. Rather, they SHOULD give a f*ck about the corporations that paid for their mud-slinging ads that get splashed all over the TV set every 10 minutes for a year straight, because if they don't, they'll never see office again.

Makes me re-affirm my anarchist beliefs every goddamn day...
