This is the 4th numbered game I believe. There was DF3 Land Warrior then an unnumbered Delta Force: Task Force Dagger that came out a bunch of months ago. If you're going by game release, this would be the 5th Delta Force game.

Netcode wasn't too bad even with 150 ping in my experience. The gameplay was kinda "meh" but it holds potential. We'll see.

It's OK. Not the greatest and not the worst, it could use a LOT of work. Runs good on my system and havn't had much of a problem at all. Athlon 1800XP, 256mb PC2100 and Geforce DDR. I couldnt get it to run in Win98SE so I had to play it in Win2k and it works great. I can rebind keys but I see a lot of doubles (though it hasn't interfered with the mapping itself).

But who the hell holds a gun in the middle? Looked OK in Doom but in DF:BHD it looks kind of retarded.

As for Take2 and Barking Dog... gg. Watch them implode.

I've been reading a ton of "I don't give a shit bout the army" attitude and frankly it is sorely disappointing. I know there are millions of people who are thankful for the service, but this kind of attitude is disgusting.

Ok so let's say the army DOES suck. Would you rather they just fold up and cease operations? How about retract all military officers and put them back into civilian life or immigration guard duty. Let's see how long the United States lasts without a fully functional military.

And while we're on the subject of retracting military forces, let's pull trade and industry out of every other country and make the United States solitary and confined, I'm sure we can survive on our oil reserves for several decades until we develop better solutions. I'll bet that'll make Europe, the Middle East and Asia happy. Oh and while we're pulling all these back, why not stop immigration for good and just build huge walls guarded by the retracted Military forces.

There are going to be some greatly pissed off Country political leaders about why we have just suddenly gone into a self isolation mode.

Now we can also solve unemployment by having unemployed and homeless people doing what overseas manufacturing plants were doing.

Fucking christ..

Earlier there were up to 12-15 MOUT servers. I have no idea what the hell happened to them all.

Yeah the original link went really fast while the mirror blew ass. I'm liking this game! Definitely great looking even on my Geforce DDR system(1800XP+ with 256mb) at 1024x768 with all the settings up and runs VERY smooth!

I loved IG2, while this is more action oriented it's still great and I liken it to Homeworld without resource gathering and much prettier battles!

Sorry communications failure on my part. The engine supports the 4096 texture size where modders can make use of it with terrains.

Response to #8:

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance has texture sizes of 4096x4096. I believe this is one of the first games to ever support a resolution of textures that high and actually have them put into use.

This comes from a review done by a Modder on the OFP forums (which you would need to register for if I posted the link). Since I don't believe you're inclined to do that I will just post an exerpt:

"Game installed, checking out the Preferences; the major change can be found in the textures tab, texture resolution options now range up to 4096x4096 pixel, what should be excellent for future addons&modding, now really allowing photorealistic skins dependant on your installed graphicscard. For the first run i let the autodetect feature determine appropiate settings for me, with manually setting "auto-dropdown" to 0."

And when Winter comes around it'll be pushed back again, then HL2 will be announced and gearbox will just say "fuck it, let's go with the HL2 engine!" and it won't get released until 2004.

I concur with drfeces. You will encounter some immature players (mostly the idiots who know next to nothing besides wacking off), but almost all of the time it's enjoyable to be playing as a team!

I would have preferred SriLanka, but Antarctica is good too

That part of the government that wants to ban/restrict FPS's are individuals who are disgusted by them, not actual government arms. Note that this "game" does not include much gore (as stated in the previews) either so it won't become highly controversial.

What you people don't understand is that if anyone is stupid enough to enlist because of this game thinking it will be like this, that's their mistake and they will pay dearly for it in Basic Training.

Isn't Freelancer single player based with a semi-persistant universe? If it is, two different genres can't own each other unless of course it is your opinion

HalfLife_IS_ Quake1 heavily modified engine. Do a BluesNews search or Google search and you can find this answer. Is this going to turn into a "HalfLife is actually EngineX cause I'm smart!" thread?
