I guess they see it as a way for pirates to ehh pirate their stuff..

In their eyes homebrew might lead to someone making a loader and addon for the PSP where you can download tons games for free, load them up into the addon thingy and they play on your PSP..

A Russian team is working on a game called Brigade E5 which is real time but has an auto pause sytem which lets you plan battles in great detail. Anyway its the spiritual JA3 if you want to listen to Jagged Alliance fans.

The developers have released a demo which they keep updating regularly with features that the community wanted the game to have.

ugh.. you've got to be kidding me.. the battlefield series has absolutely nothing to do with mil combat -- it's arcade-y at best..

I agree with u here. They are very gamey and if u want a great military combat experience do what some ppl already suggested, get Operation Flashpoint.

any sniper worth a damn can judge distance to target simply by the size of the target when zoomed.. and appropriately adjust to the proper mil dot just by guess-timating..

But, snipers always have a buddy with a binocular who gives them the range and such. Since that would be a bit of a hassle in game, the sniper now has to do that duty himself. This doesnt hamper him that much since switching between binoculars and gun is soooo easy. Sure after a while a sniper will get good at shooting at long range targets just by "guessing" but that will take a while.

The foliage problem has been solved according to a guy who is/was a part of the beta test. He couldnt say how they did it cos of the NDA but its much better now. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

When it comes to sniper fests, most of the time when i played snipers were only a very small nuisance. When one was far away he would have quite a bit of trouble hitting targets that were moving so he would have to move in relatively close and that would lead to him being wasted pretty fast. Other times there were no snipers.

I am getting this game on the day of its release that is certain.
