Ok, someone explain the logic behind this? The Witcher 3 GOTY edition is $30 while the DLC-less original release is still...$40? WTF?! That makes absolutely NO sense to me whatsoever.

I like deals and sales, who doesn't? But when you can't understand the logic behind some of the choices at times, it kinda makes the ol' credit card slink back in the wallet...

=-Rigs-=

This is what I have been saying - their pricing is all jacked up most of the time.

K, y'all. Serious question:

What's your favorite Christmas movie?

I'm a bit partial to Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas myself.

A Christmas Story. Watch it on loop every year.

Finally the W3 expansion is on sale!

You haven't grabbed it yet? Holy poop! Best expansion ever.

Was frustrated because they had never put the expansion on sale. You could rebuy the whole game, and "save" money over the cost of the game+expansion, but they never did discount it until now. It's fine. I am only about half way through the game and shelved it to play Skyrim again.

So after the holidays I will get back into W3.

Suspect Arrested in JPMorgan, Dow Jones Data Theft Case.

Let's review the US Justice system, shall we?

Steal data: 10-35 years prison.
Steal identities: No charges
Steal billions: No charges.

But I'm sure all that will change under the new Trump administration.

A bigger crime is what JP Morgan made last year off of 0% interest loans from the White House.
I won't argue that. Too big to fail is a joke.

Kind of a weird news day. Article came out that said Big Banks made 70 Billion this year (Top 10 of all banks with JP at the top made 50% of all monies) but there is another article that says Big Banks for 70 Billion short of what the feds are wanting them to have in reserves (a total of 120B) to sustain "failure".

At what point is it to much money? They made all of that money on the backs of tax payers on both ends. As bailouts for free and then loaning money out, anywhere from 3-22%.

And there are little data nuggets like this that get lost in articles about bank accountability and such:
By contrast, at the end of the third quarter of 2012, JPMorgan had $72 trillion in notional amount on its books—almost five times the size of the U.S. economy, or about the size of the entire world economy.

And things like this:
Arthur Levitt, the former chairman of the SEC, lamented to us in November that none of the post-2008 remedies has “significantly diminished the likelihood of financial crises.”

and

A disturbing number of former bankers have recently declared that the banking industry is broken, including Herbert Allison, the ex-president of Merrill Lynch and former head of the Obama administration’s Troubled Asset Relief Program, Philip Purcell (ex-CEO of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter), Sallie Krawcheck (ex-CFO of Citigroup), David Komansky (ex-CEO of Merrill Lynch), and John Reed (former co-CEO of Citigroup) and Sandy Weill, another ex-CEO of Citigroup. The Atlantic notes that “this newfound clarity typically follows their passage from financial titan to rich retiree.”

I will second that Empyrion is really good.

Watched some vids, snatched it up to try it out.

How is it, relatively? I know you play a lot of this kind of game.

Need more time in it, I was extremely lucky on my first landing and had a Guardian Outpost, neutral beings, who didnt care that I took absolutely every material from their coffers. So I had a great jumpstart in building my tiny beginner base.

MrGrosser and I fired up a dedi server and werent so lucky. I started dropping in near a huge structure while he headed for the lake ** spoiler and turned out it was a drone base and got instantly blown up, was actually pretty awesome.

I think it may be more of a grind now but with two of us chipping away should be ok.

I am looking for a Terrerria or Starbound FPS and they each have elements of them but havent found that sweet spot yet.

I was watching some Life is Feudal vids and friends say it is a HUGE grind but looks closest to what I want....

Get the original, it's less buggy, and has way more things to see and do.

meh. Space Engineers had NOTHING to do for a long time. I will go back and check it out.

Right now Empyrion is a lot of fun, really into it.

Fun game, tons of bugs obviously, but fun. Tons of game breaking annoyances.

4 player online drop-in/drop-out co-op
Not true drop in drop out. You create a new player for each world you join, can't bring anything over like Terrarria or Starbound. Also the biggest bug right now is unable to join a friend's world, just crashes.
