Pretty much every single "censored" conservative voice very clearly violated sensible TOS.

I agree for the most part, But I think the issue is that there is bias in when those TOS are enforced.
The far right has to walk on egg shells while the far left can say pretty much anything.

Give an example. For nearly anyone, you can find exactly what they got banned for. And usually, it was inciting violence or racism. Unless those are core traits of conservatism, they weren't banned for political views.

Take Alex Jones. Is harassing the parents of dead schoolchildren a core tenet of conservatism? No. He was banned for being an asshole, not for being a conservative. Same with Milo. Same with that woman that is friends with Ajit Pai and chained herself to Twitter.

Maybe I am dense, explain to me why Antifa and ISIS have Twitter accounts?

It's primarily spread through air droplet transmission. There were some interesting case studies done in Italy and China where you can literally follow the airflow from an air conditioner that had asymptomatic people in front of it which spread it in the path of airflow to people in the restaurant. You can get it from surfaces and touching your face though too obviously, though it is far less likely if people are washing their hands.

That being said, I don't feel Forged's comment is fair though, people are not "murderers" because they want lockdown lifted and there is no reason we can't be sensible in a careful, phased reopening of the country. Other countries have done this and been successful, we can too. We can't have an indefinite lockdown and I don't see anyone here proposing a date that is going to be OK so I'm assuming that's what they want. We just need to demand that from our leadership. We've bought time for the healthcare system with lockdowns and now they need to ramp up testing drastically. Test everyone. That's where leadership needs to put money and what we should be demanding that they do.

It's a really challenging situation in general because the approach that works in California is not going to work in New York. It requires coordination at every government level and a tailored approach depending on contextual factors. New York for example has many people in close proximity and a high uptake on mass transit users. Our federal government frankly has been failing us on this and other fronts related to COVID-19, regardless of the PR. We need to demand more from them.

If you believe crap that comes from China...….

The CDC does not say cloth masks aren't effective. This is 3 days old.

What they do say is they do not prevent YOU from getting ill. They prevent YOU from getting OTHERS ill. Which is common sense. If you exhale into a mask, it will not spread as far.

I strongly suspect where some retired folks get their news, because it seems to have gone through a major spin cycle, rather than coming from direct sources.

ie: THEY ARE NOT EFFECTIVE. It also says use a mask when you can't social distance. (from the main page here) Your article also says,
The covering fits snugly against the sides of the face so there are no gaps
- which is not one single cloth covering I have seen.

Cloth also CATCHES everything, and I doubt the majority of people even WASH them. They wear them, then take them on and off with bare hands and then touch everything they own. Good luck dude.

Also, those 3 ply don't work. Only n95 is ok to use, and still if touched it is recommended it is sanitized.

Just social distance.

And you have no idea where I get my information. I receive mine from work, which is directed by the State of Minnesota and disseminated to the Cities in the State, but keep trying.

Liberal tears, ever the retort of those without an actual argument. Schoolyard insults tend not to convince others of the soundness of your position.

Personally, though, I agree that it's time. Reopen everything--restaurants, hair salons, churches--but with a warning that it's not safe and social distancing should still be observed. Let the people make their decisions. Evolution isn't weeding out the stupid for us since we've gotten so good at keeping even the dumbest of us alive. We're overdue for a purge.

What you don't get is that you're killing me and my family when you bring the shit home that you selfishly contracted and then spread to who knows how many others. You may be perfectly fine, maybe not even show symptoms, but you murder dozens of others who were trying to stay away from people. Should your victims be considered weeded out while you, the stupid fucking selfish asshole, remain alive?

Being under quarantine IS NOT FUCKING ABOUT YOU! Stop being fucking conceited and short-sighted!

Not enough players? Even now theres 533k players online.

Im confused as well. I think they added bots so the casual player still plays - because the casuals aren't winning and they are quitting. I won about 10% of the time. Not great, but far better than "casual".

I mean....watching that video....wtf

What we do have evidence for is a drastic decrease in automobile accident deaths and crime deaths.

Not true. At least not according to all available data in Minnesota.

40+ million unemployed Americans and these States can't find and hire some security experts to prevent/end this?

That costs money, and no one worth their ability will work for a State IT department. Very underpaid and constant fires to put out.

Sadly, the big name law enforcement agencies won't get involved. $4.7 million? pfffft. Not worth their time. None of this will ever be recovered and none of it will ever be punished.

Photo showing the swimming pool packed full of kids was disturbing

10's of thousand more will die because of the idiot on the throne and his source of misinformation, fox news. Texas is way behind on testing, our deaths our increasing and gawd does not appear to be on our side.

I don't see us going to a pool - that doesn't seem smart. Also cancelled my NFL season tickets. Each geographical area is different, and not just because of density. For instance, MN is the worst place for long term care facilities. I didn't know this until recently, but the true reason is because hospitals moved the sick to these facilities instead of treating them in the hospital.

Brought a guy to the hospital last night and spoke with staff. They said they have nothing to do and are very bored. Workers have been furloughed. They were happy to be in the sally port asking questions like "have you been around someone with 'rona, what is your temp, do you have a cough, for how long, etc." They were upbeat and fun to talk to. Helps that we have a pretty good relationship with most of them.

I am fine with my stance for my geographical area. I would probably feel different if I lived in NY.

The two are totally unrelated. Besides it just released on Release Date 21 May 2020

It is a funny coincidence though.

And I think EPIC specifically blocks STEAM keys from their service......thought we had this conversation a while back.

I had over 1500 hours in the game. Quit cold turkey almost 2 years ago. They still have aimbots and wallers in the game. It is unreal. I watch some streams sometimes and the game is just so damn slow compared to other BRs.

I really enjoyed the faster paced COD and Ring of Elysium.

So much misinformation out there when it comes down to it - they don't have a clue what is going on. Even the CDC is contradicting itself on a weekly basis. This week they said the 'rona doesn't live on surfaces very long, that cloth masks don't work, and don't wear a mask if you aren't sick.

As to be expected, loonies are on both sides and crazy rules are being implemented or ignored. It is bananas.

We, as many others, are practicing herd immunity in our neighborhood. Most have been working from home or behaving as they were supposed to - so now all of the kids are playing.

CDC stated now that an exposure is "being within 6 feet of a symptomatic individual for at least 10 minutes".

We have been wearing PPEs (gloves, N95, and glasses) on every public interaction for weeks. If I get it, it will be from the grocery store when I pickup something and put it in my cart.....

I could see some businesses havign you sign something either in person or digitally when you enter their business (bars, food joints, etc.) as a liability waiver. Similar to what you have to do when you go to a bouncy house or indoor playplace like a trampoline park. The liability is huge for an organization that is already over taxed and running on reserves or borrowed money.

The bar and restaurant owners I know already have systems in place for online reservations (yes even the bars). You won't be able to just walk into the pub and get a pint or sit down to eat.

I say open it all up, let personal risk reign. Those who want to take the risk are free to do so - those who wish not to, also have that right. But don't pretend we aren't being exposed by all of the mail, package deliveries, food deliveries, groceries, etc. We won't know much about this for years.......
