Thanks but truthfully forgot I had a mortgage until I could see the end in sight. Then just went all out for 18 months throwing everything I could muster at it.

Congrats, I am sure it feels great!

I use a "2" on the eyebrows.

Well, spent a ton of time clearing out this place this weekend. Patching, taping, and mud this week. Picked up an 8 foot cabinet for a void I had in the bathroom and also a granite vanity top for a dual under mount. Hopefully go up for sale within a week while we clean and tinker with smaller items.

They are releasing 2 more maps.

More than enough fun.

Not sure if that's what it needs, though those with 10 days playtime might. I still have fun landing on the same few buildings/complexes that I've learned how to loot and shoot in. Most shooters get away with a few good maps.

The one thing that is not fun is the combat in buildings that require more abuse of the 3rd person camera than anything else. Cannot wait for forced first person view.

Also some people are really good or use aimbots as half my deaths are headshots, I can barely line up a decent center mass shot (I might have less than half a dozen headhshots ever). Maybe CSGO people are making the jump and the skillz/cheating translate? I still love the game but I have to compensate for my uselessness by being extra sneaky and picky with engagements like when I was on a 28.8 as a teenager.

I have hundreds of kills and only 15 headshots in solo. I can't get them either. I am ranked in the top 500 NA solo, but I am very technical. My highest kills was 8 on a win, but I avg 4-6 per win, usually take out last few people. I don't know how people just run out in the open spin on a dime and head shot people all day long. I am a sitting duck. I still think there are some audio issues as when I get shot the directional seems to be off still.

The performance improvement update (2 patches ago) made this game feel retail ready. It is pretty amazing. It is by far the most polished and complete EA game I have seen.

I would have paid double for this game. I already have just shy of 300 hours in the game, and probably another 100 or so in the BETA.

It is a really difficult and fun game. I haven't had my heart race in a game like this probably since I played league/competitive DOD Source and league/competitive BF2.

2 more maps coming out and a bunch of other stuff. I wasn't really into the battle royal stuff, I joined H1 King of the Kill late and although had some fun it just felt like a shit game. This has the polish and smoothness of BF or CoD.

They added destruction of small shacks, it is pretty damn cool to throw a nade in one and watch all of the walls blow out, you can also just drive over them with people inside. ahhahaha

They are adding some cool things in the next couple patches, would be cool to see destructible houses.
SOLOs are maddening. Duos are fun as you get "downed" and your buddy can get you up before you bleed out. Squads (4 player teams) is just madness and a riot.

Now when I compare this to Escape From Tarkov - that game is almost unplayable. So chunky and choppy. But that is still Alpha I believe.

Damn Bats! Half a mill? Clearly doing better than I ever did. Congrats.

It is the area and the market we are in here. Salaries are high, housing is high. We are also going to have mother in law living with us so we had to buy a bigger house so she would have her own living space. It is pretty much two houses on two floors.

Loads and loads to storage. Floor in bathroom was grouted this AM. House is almost empty. There is something very eerie about having a bare bones home I have lived in for 11 years.....hard to describe.....

I am installing toilet and vanity tomorrow AM. Granite designers here Mon/Tue for measure and order of 60" granite vanity top for dual glass bowls.

/fingers crossed we come to agreement on other house and we get this on market within next 2 weeks.

What's the market like there? It's finally starting to crash here, and that is long overdue and drastically needed around these parts. Just yesterday they said sales are down 34% from this point last year and prices have fallen 100k. House prices here need to fall a lot more to get back to sane amounts of money. Fucking government should have got on this decades ago.

I was just thinking that it might be a bad time to buy if the markets are starting a shakeout - which seems to be the case. I know I wouldn't be looking at buying over the next year or two at least until we get some clearer direction of where we're headed.

Post some pics of the bathroom. I'm starting my fence next week - if the weather holds - and doing some raised beds and other stuff so I'll post some pics as well.

Bought my house in 2005 a month before "the crash". I lost 80k in the first month I bought the house. I will end up actually making money, which I never thought would happen. I hope to get close to 100k more than what I owe, and we are buying a 500k house.

There is ZERO sign of the market slowing in the Minneapolis area and I am damn near ashamed of what I am going to make on my house, but I am just paying it forward....

Hope you have better luck than we are having. Seller's are being sticklers on some items that don't make sense. It is 100% a buyers market, but not sure why these sellers think otherwise....I was told it is their age (older).

Bathroom floor was done yesterday. We reset the 3' x 3' glass block window this morning and the shower tile will be completed today.

Just need to get the vanity in from the garage this week and the granite folks can come so I can get that ordered. Get the two glass under mount bowls installed and that much closer to being done.

Need a cabinet maker to come in and design/build storage under the stairs in the bathroom.....similar to this

Paint and done. I'll post some pics.

Welp.

Put an offer on a house, they countered and we kind of agreed. Tiler comes Wednesday (fingers crossed), and staging/pics/planning Thursday.

11 years, time for new digs.

Hate moving. So much to get done.....

Did you manage to get a place a little further out or are you still in the city?

Still in the inner ring of the Metro. Probably considered by most to be "in the city".

My current place is 110% "in the city". Northeast Minneapolis.

Yes, there are bad cops. Yes, some people are crooks. There is a lot more grey than there is black and white. All we can do is try to make things better as best we can. The more people helping to make it better, the faster it will happen.

Good post.
True, no one could find fault with that statement.

Nothing wrong with it indeed, but no clue what he's suggesting either. "Not everything is black and white, everyone should help to make things better", was anyone here suggesting something in conflict with that in the first place?

I can see why people dig it, but imo it's also a classic conversation stopper. People end up just nodding in agreement while no real ideas were shared in the end.

I was actually focusing on
All we can do is try to make things better as best we can. The more people helping to make it better, the faster it will happen.

I do my part, hope that others try as well.

Wuh? I hate Uber and everything it does, but are they saying they want every single Uber driver to have a wheelchair accessible car?

No. They just want people that need wheelchair accessible cars to not have to pay extra for it.

Be interesting to see how this pans out. My questions is, are you telling me that it costs the same to use a wheelchair van taxi cab as it does a regular one? (Something I have never thought about)

There isn't 1 UBER driver in the world that is going to invest in that kind of equipment for the 1.00 per ride they get.

Would the only solution be that UBER eats the cost on all of those vehicles?
