hahahah Just read an article that No Man's Sky is wiping data entered by players every two weeks! BWAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

(All plants and animals on my first planet were reset)

What? Source please, googled server wipe and they are all talking about the pre-launch wipe. That sucks if true.

Based on this, it sounds like planets weren't being named when the servers were being crushed at launch. On the naming screen, it notes if you're connected or not, and the first few days it was frequently down.

And to be clear, that's the only thread I've seen on it, and one news site linking back to it. So, pinch of salt...

I traveled back to my first planet. Confirmed for me.

Looks like people started to join the new year on the ESPN site. I have recreated the groups and made a post in General Forum if that is what people decide to do.

Enjoy!

I want to savor this game, I probably played DX:HR six times.

Only six? Pshah!

Only had 1 hour into the game. When it came out something upset me and I shut it off, moved on. Fired it up today and was working on an early mission and something else set me off. Ill get to it later. I gotta sleep.

I'll get the base game and move on to something else. Will move on to something else when thats done.

Finished Doom (base game) last night. Didn't realize I was at the last level before the final boss and remembered the BFG lol. Hurt me plenty difficulty was fun without the BFG and used the Pistol to finish of a few boards when out of ammo (yeah also forgot that nades regenerate lol)

Bottom line, to much competition for my hard earned $. They need to sweeten the deal big time for me to consider seasons packs or whatever else. Smart financial move on their end but, gamers young and old are smarter than they realize. They'll pay but, will go elsewhere when they see convenient $ grabs.

I just wait for huge sales now, or like GMG day 1 15-40% off. There is so much out there even a few months old that I haven't touched.

$90-$120 for a "complete" game is a joke. Damn console kiddies are f-ing shit up paying full price retail.

I'm trying to buy the game through Green Man Gaming but am unable to pay, getting a "Adyen Payment Failed" error message, despite a succesful authentication from my bank. Submitted a ticket, fingers crossed. Anyone else having this issue?

BTW the game is 25% off on there ATM. (Which is why I decided to buy now).

They posted on Twitter they are having problems processing orders and will be back soon.

NASA's Curiosity rover captures 360-degree panorama of Mars.

I think an iPhone can take a better 360. Should have just attached an iPhone to the rover....

Not knowing S from shinola.....is there a reason we went to Mars? We knew nothing was there.....maybe go elsewhere? At this point just seems like nerds jerking it over some pics of dirt.

Improving features, like multiplayer?

Btw path of the Atlas was a major disappointment besides getting a ton of words, and having black holes marked on the map
Ah, that's kinda a bummer. Well, i'm still playin'. I have found the ultimate vortex cube planet and have been almost literally strip mining this poor planet for the past 4 days . At 27,000 units per cube I am now up to 22 million units, have a 48 slot suit, and a 35 slot ship to boot! I'm ballin' like a balla dawg! After leaving this strip mined disaster of a planet, I reckon i'll head back into the 'verse and continue on with the Atlas path.

I am not that far along, but on my 3rd planet. 1st I did 100%, took 10 hours. 2nd was an enormous planet but a barren wasteland that I left quickly as I had a hard time accumulating resources to fly around. I am now on the tiny moon of that huge place and it has colonies, outposts, Monoliths, beacons, shelters, and interesting things every few thousand yards. My map is packed with things to go look at and getting a ton of words. Found 5 suit upgrades and a few ships, only 1 worth using.

I know things are more advanced later on, but having fun on this place. Been here for 3 days and still loading up on places to find.

No different than other games.

Terraria was great when it was by itself, but then games like Starbound just expound on the idea and are 10x better.

I really wanted NMS to be Starbound FPS. But it is not sadly.

Oh lord. Never freeze roasted coffee.

Starbucks is terrible. They have trained a generation to like crap. You dark roast the garbage, and knowing this they have trained their customers to accept awful coffee. I go off on the management every time I have to go there for some reason.

A nice medium or light roasted coffee is packed with flavor. A dark roasted coffee is burnt, and tastes like it.

My exp with 5bux is that their coffee always tastes burnt and is highly acidic. Caribou and Dunn brothers is far superior.

Huge fan of Seattles Best. Burger king here in mn uses it. I dont eat their food, but damn they can brew coffee!

My home brew is Hills Brothers. Best commercial grind I can find.
