[Hooray for tangents!]Read that as "Hooray for Termagants" at first. For a change of pace from the spacehulk idea, a campaign-expansion could be made with a genestealer cult that graduallly revealed the tyranid menace. Genestealers were just as badass before they became all hive-y.
I enjoy the comic but some of the ranting on their front page is strange from time to time.Sometimes they are in left field, sometimes they are bang on, sometimes they get it half right. I could hope for nothing less (nothing more?) from opinion columnists or the talking heads on TV. At least taking a stance, being semi-malleable (and have the guts to admit it when you're wrong), that's good stuff.
Would be neat to watch a game of Battlefield 2 from some kind of omniscient perspective, as in a camera floating around the map, zooming in as things got interesting. I have no idea how they could really implement that though.Honest question - Can you do that in Source engine games? Don't they have some kind of observer/sourcecast or whatever mode? Not that I want to watch endless CS matches.
BTW: I hope you have all enjoyed discussing games, because things are going to get ugly now. This is where the escalation begins and both sides begin to crap in each other's favorite gaming threads for revenge. I suppose that is step (4).What happened to that user-blocking greasemonkey thread for blues? was that Camaro's? anyone got the link?
...Very nice post. Did you have to whiteboard it out - it was remarkably coherent for one mentioning the-protection-that-shall-not-be-named, good work. I am not being facetious
Only through education can the vicious cycle be broken. A thread is a terrible thing to waste.
Mostly because it took so long to transfer the turn data and like playing Civ 4 online, it sounds great on paper but when you realize how long a game can take, it gets less appealing.PBEM! PBEM! It probably wouldn't work with the battle stuff in HoMM, but I really enjoy the Play-By-Email aspect of Civs III & IV. Great for family in other time zones.
A few hours from now at a little after one in the morning, the clock will stand for a second at 01:02:03 04/05/06. Cool, huh?But... But... Maybe I follow I thought we were waiting for May...
