Oh, like T&L? I'm not sure how that has benefited us. Maybe a few games have benefited, but in the larger picture it has become just another buzz word.

"The GeForce3 Ti 500 is the world's fastest, feature rich GPU... and introduces groundbreaking new 3D graphics features to the desktop PC."

Here we go again. But will any of these features actually be useful and implemented by developers...?

I just don't understand why sites keep interviewing 3DRealms. Nothing new is learned here, except the fact that Miller has a huge ego:

>>Scott Miller: That’s a very good question. There’s absolutely no FPS game that comes close to the experience DNF will deliver. Nothing out right now even comes close.<<

Please....

I'm looking forward to DNF but give me break. Just shut up and release the game. Then we can judge what game is better.

"which transmits data over the Internet at 10 to 100 times the speed of conventional services."

I really wish they would stop hyping up this aspect of the X-Box. Boardband connectivity only serves a purpose for those who's phone lines qualify. It's one thing to hype up a feature like the graphic card which everyone who buys an X-Box will benefit from. But hyping up a boardband in this way as if it's benefiting everyone is just lame...

Is it any real surprise that this comes from a Republican administration?

Next, they'll turn on Babylon the Great...

is that when kids go out and hurt or kill someone, and violent gaming played a role (no matter how small), the government wants to ban all violent games and parents want to sue. But when the (former) President commits adultry (and coutless other politicians as well), the government does nothing about changing people's lifestyles and morals, and parents couldn't care less.

If Johnny goes out and shoots three people and injures them, his parents want to sue the gaming industry. But if Johnny goes out and screws a bunch of highschool girls and gets two of them pregnant, nobody says nothing about morals.

The truth is that people don't want to change. "Apparently," loose morals don't hurt anyone so there's no concern. But as soon as someone starts shooting up a school, all hell breaks loose. I'm not saying one is the lesser of two evils; they all contribute to the decline of society.

Maybe the government ought to tackle bigger issues like war, poverty, unemployment...

I tried that, but there is no Empire Earth under Programs. Oh wait, I don't have the game...
