That's too bad. I guess that's what happens when you take 5+ years to release a game on ONE platform. I still want to play it though I'll wait until they release a GOTY edition with the DLC bundled.
Been playing through Dead Space again and I'm looking forward to DS2. I hope they clean up the story and make it a little more horror and a little less action... though I'm hearing it's more action oriented this time around.

That video is taken from the PC version; they just played it with a 360 controller.
What was the point of that?
Epic tells us they're committed to PC gaming, yet this video is from the 360 version.
Activision signed Bungie to a 10 year deal a month
Wasn't this in the works for many months beforehand? And isn't Bungie's deal with Activision as publisher only? Not really the same as being owned by Activision like Infinity Ward.
I can understand the trepidation from most gamers. But I was able to see the demo firsthand and I walked away really excited. Much of the strategy seems to lie in the choosing of missions. The dev host said that at times there may be 3-5 missions available at any time; and choosing one mission may mean missing out on another.
Also, I got the impression that you will be able to select your team (and outfit them with gear) before each mission and that they will be able to earn experience. And if they die during a mission, they're gone for good.
Maybe this isn't much of a consolation for hardcore X-COM fans, but I'm definitely excited to play it.

WOW, all 5 X-COMs for $3.74. I should get that just because!

I have yet to try this game, even with the Complete Collection sitting on my desk mocking me.
I was surprised too that Irrational's next title wasn't teased. Same with I Am Alive, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the new Aliens game.

Is the game worth the price of the DRM?
You'll find opinions regarding the game varying greatly. In regards to BioShock, it's well worth the price (though maybe I'm a fanboy). As for BioShock 2, I'd wait until it hits the $20 mark. I was sooooo disappointed in the sequel.

I'm happy they love their game and want to expand it. But release the first game BEFORE you start talking about the sequel.

Rage and Portal 2 were 'easily' the best of show at E3 this year.
Portal 2 looked awesome, rage was okay for me. But I was really impressed with XCOM. I am sooooo looking forward to it now!

All is not completely lost. I was able to check out Sword of the Stars 2, LEGO Universe, XCOM (PC version, though the guy was using a 360 controller), and a few others.
But yes, it was all overshadowed by console games... though that's not necessarily an evil.
