Let's see... this new technology:
-Makes it harder to use the OS
-Keeps me from using anything they don't want me to
-Makes it harder for journalists to get information
-Gives government access to my encrypted documents
-Allows outside parties to control what I can and can't do on my own computer.
-Cuts me off from borrowing music

And the only reason I'd have to get this technology is so that TCPA-enabled applications work?
Gee.

But, #11, it's oh so hip to make a trite current event a personal drama. Even if it defies all reasoning.

Ok, after reading the article, it's HALL doing the game design course, and Romero is lecturing on programming.
Which makes perfect sense, at least to me.
My prior point is now moot.

Is there even a monitor, OS, or processor being made that supports 128 bit? And then there's the fact that there wouldn't be games using it for about three years.

The only difference between a day 1 patch and a day 30 patch is that the day 30 patch comes out 29 days later.
The bugs that they fix are still there, in the boxed game, regardless of when the patch comes out.
If you're going to be cynical, at least be logical about it. (Although asking that of an anon, is like asking an infant to not cry)

Nvidia might have some real competition
That's what people said about ATI. And ATI is losing money now.
No one can compete with nVidia in the gaming hardware market, because nVidia is the only one with the intelligence to make ALL of their products with gaming specifically in mind.
If another graphics card company wants to go toe-to-toe with them, they're going to have to realize that there is little to no money in the low-end user market. They have to go for full-out gaming-only hardware. Because that's where the money is. Gamers are the ones who constantly upgrade, and need bleeding edge hardware.

These other companies are trying to compete with roast duck by bringing in McDonald's. It just won't work.

The only holy book that refers to its diety as "God" (note the capitalization) is the christian bible. Really, christianity is the only religion that refers to its diety at all by the word "God". It was added in during the 50's as a direct reference to the christian god.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" was meant in order to prevent the state from endorsing a particular religion. This protects the freedom of all to practice (or not practice) whatever religion they wish.
The same law that protects people from religion protects people's right to practice it.

This whole thing is nothing more than an over-zealous atheist trying to force his beliefs, or lack thereof, onto others
Atheists constantly have to put up with the various remnants of the McCarthy Era, where they were considered COMMUNISTS simply because of our lack of belief.
Do you also think that the REAL, original version of the Pledge of Allegiance is intolerant?

State religion is a bad thing.

I'm an atheist. And I pay my tax dollars too.
There's no reason to exclude me from being an american simply because I lack faith in jesus, krishna, buddah, satan, the old ones, odin, etc.

You want government-endorsed religion? Move to Israel. Don't forget a bullet proof vest.

A smaller version of Green Destiny, called Metablade, has been operating in the warehouse since last fall, requiring no special attention
I'll be much more impressed when they try that running Windows ME

If you haven't yet figured out what Out of the Blue tends to contain, then I have some doubts that you can read at all.
