If you like the game (probably because you're a boring and shitty example of humanity), then play it. Clearly, spouting all your bullshit opinions based upon--and exhibiting--your ADD and complete lack of skill/skill/skill is not going to change the minds of all the people who have legitimate issues with the PC version of this game.

Are there pluses? Of course there are. Could you conceive a better game? Well... I mean... you're defending this game like your very existence is intractably linked to it, so, probably not. The faults that it has are massive detractors from the overall experience, and they're largely issues that could have been avoided with a little more effort during development. That said, it's quite easily among the buggiest, bloated, and disappointing PC games to be released since Thief4. The amount of content, quality, amazing writing, and stellar gameplay presented here is extraordinarily difficult to access behind a maddening wall of consolization, and all you fucking little fanboys defending things just because you have nothing even remotely critical to say need to examine your life and figure out why in the fuck you're such ass-kissing, milquetoast wimps. I paid 50 bucks for it, so I get to bitch about it. And Mac and his awesome Worth-A-Buy review both get a thumbs up from me, because his criticisms and disappointments with the game were almost exactly mine.

If you want to only read positive things about this game, start your own website and make your own rules. Have a lovely day!

Not interested. Online required DRM is a deal-breaker. Then again... Witcher3 taught me that developers who support DRM-free releases don't necessarily give a shit about PC gamers, and are just fine releasing buggy console crapola as a PC game. CDPR, you don't get any more of my money, either.

Imagine that... a PC version of a multi-platform game gets dumbed-down and degraded to console levels.

What they fail to understand is that PC gamers (like me) would not have bought the game if they presented it truthfully as yet another shit console port. So, their statement that the game wouldn't have existed without the console concessions is just meaningless spin with a dash of hubris, as if PC gamers should just be happy the game exists at all, even if it sucks ass.

Well, I was going to hold off buying this until I saw some LPs and it came down in price (which will probably not happen for a while). I'm also not a fan of the player perspective, but, damn if I wasn't persuaded to buy it and preload it after watching this.

I still play Doom and DoomII about once a year. Try to keep it as vanilla as possible (no look up and down, no jumping, etc.) for that old Doom experience I remember. Still as fun as it was in the old days. I fuckin' love Doom.

Never tried Doom Retro, but I'm digging it so far.

Me and a friend used to DM this game for what seemed like days at a time. I'm not so sure I dig the huge, wide-open spaces. I thought it was a blast as mostly a corridor crawler. More strategery required than just circle-strafing. Not going to be on consoles, so that's good, but I'll still wait for LPs and YT reviews.
