I'd rent out a stadium somewhere geographically in the middle of the United States and throw a MASSIVE PARTY! Literally EVERYONE would be invited! First come, first 60,000 served. Party members would be given a hooker and some blow at the door, free of charge! I'd have a waterside built in the middle that you could ride as much as you wanted AND the "water" used for the ride would be 1000's of gallons of 'Olde English 800' malt liquor! There would be a giant disco ball hanging from the ceiling, lasers bouncing all over the place, 20 dollars bills blown all over the stadium as confetti and a giant pinata that looks like a ram and filled with weed and ecstasy bags that's flies around the stadium on a zip wire that you can shoot at with shotguns! An entire hospital staff would be on duty with a triosh center. There would be a motocross track built all the way around the edge of the stadium that anyone would be allowed to race anything on; ambulances or dump trucks, WHY NOT? It would be catered by 'Dairy Queen' because I LOVE me some damn butterscotch Dilly Bars! The event would last an entire weekend with 25 bands playing continuously through out, Flogging Molly IS A MUST! Towards the end of it, they would open the roof and helicopters would dump like 500,000 gallons of cherry KoolAid on everyone and the largest mud fight in HISTORY would commence!

I'd buy 2.5 Billion lottery tickets. I'd be on Easy Street in no time.

Minecraft is for kids and adult hipsters. Both groups fall into the category of not being able to afford a PC that can run Battlefield 4 at 1080p.
TangledThorns has spoken. Thank you, TangledThorns. I had no idea who Minecraft was for.

Maybe some people just think Battlefield 4 is boring, repetitive dross and simply don't have any interest. That you think Minecraft must run easily on lesser computers shows you know little of Minecraft except what you've seen in screenshots. It's easy to assume it should run like Doom or Quake. Then again, maybe your need to boast about your computer is just compensating for something.

"There are only a handful of potential buyers with the resources to grow Minecraft on a scale that it deserves."
I thought the modding community was doing a pretty bang-up job all by itself, unless he thinks Minecraft can only reach it's potential on Windows phones, and no game deserves that.

WTF, Notch? After all that "corporations ruin everything" talk and saying (very recently) that you wouldn't sell if it wasn't best for Minecraft. You think MS is good for MC? Minecraft is a PC game, and now you sell out to what is essentially lava to PC gaming. What a POS. Microsoft acquires yet another awesome game and will ruin it and everything about it that makes it an awesome game, just like they fucked up Halo, and created millions of console dipshits who grew up thinking that the shit they were playing, and continue to play, must be what video games really are... interactive movies occasionally interrupted by some actual player input, if not really "gameplay". Destiny is a perfect example. I've been watching a couple LPs and I just don't get it. Terrible game that console jockeys seem to be absolutely spooging over. It's no more exciting (or difficult) than square peg in square hole. If I want to watch a movie, I'd rather it wasn't interrupted by simplistic and meaningless input requirements from me just to make me feel like I'm actually in control or "part of the story".

Well, that kind of went off on a tangent, didn't it? Anyhoo... WTF, Notch?!

Windows 2000 and Windows Vista were actually more popular than Windows XP and Windows 7, respectively, among power users.

Puh-lease! Vista was a DOG of an OS that no "power user" I know of wanted anything to do with. Insane amount of hand-holding and confirmation prompts for the most basic of tasks. I hated working on Vista machines, and skipped it myself, jumping from XP to 7. I like 7. It's solid and stable and fast. No reason to upgrade to the latest dog that is 8, and 9 will have to be pretty special for me to bother. I don't need Office or Firefox or Minecraft or Photoshop to open faster than they do now, and they can't really run better. After seeing the Android OS that MS tried to pass off as Windows8, I'm not really impressed with what their idea of "upgrade" means. I don't want a Mac. I want a Windows machine that I have absolute control of every program and service that loads. I want a fucking file manager where I "see" where all my shit is and move it where I want easily, NOT "My Pictures" or "My Documents", and certainly not those big square block thingies of Windows8.

Basically, I want DOS/Win3.1 with XTreeGold (and DirectX 11 support).

Play in "Classic Duel Mode" or the new "Console Duel Mode".

Better? The point was that the new rules are the same kind of arcadey, hand-holding concessions made for console gamers.

Hmm, not here... when I just went there I got a Bitdefender ad, but no alert. Is anyone else seeing a problem?

Hmmm, that's strange. I'm pretty sure I didn't get fooled by an ad. My BD tray icon changed color and the pop-up pointed to a new file in my "Users" folder. Did it three times and all three are in my BD history as Trojan.JS.QVC (aka Aquarius). I just tried the page again, however, and got no more alerts.
