This has been in shops here in the UK for a couple of weeks now - certainly gone gold!

It's priced at £19.99, same as the full game. Virgin have a deal on ATM for 2 £19.99 titles for £30 (selected titles only, but that includes both the original and the expansion) - so if you don't have Tropico, you can pick it up with the expansion for the cost of a new full game.

I agree TickleMyElmo - this is the lamest yet. I enjoy these from time to time, but this is weak. And no, I didn't end up with an insulting character. At least, as far as I know it's not insulting. A Gauntlet Adventurer? Is that insulting?

frederickson - is that another babyish trolling post or a genuine opinion? I had that opinion before watching it, I've never been a fan of fantasy stories. However I personally found it an excellent film, which was even better the second time after someone who has read the books explained it to me

I can't get it to do anything. Opera, MSIE5 and Mozilla all refuse to work. Opera and Moz just don't move the ring, IE gives error messages and invites me to debug it.

I find mice in general have problems, although none as major as my somewhat exagerated post may lead you to think. I had problems with a mouse moving two pixels at a time unless I was logged in as administator (I still don't know why that started or why it cleared up), I've had problems getting the scroll whelel and middle mouse button working in games (I've since found the correct settings) and recently I've had problems with sensitivity halfing randomly, meaning I have to go into the control panel screen and put the mouse senitivity to full - of course, when I switch on my computer the next morning, it's hopelessly over sensitive. This hasn't happened since I attached a second mouse to my system.

No problems with the new drivers so far.

How can Logitech make such good peripherals and then make such bad drivers??

I was going to rant about how many products of their's I would have bought if their drivers were any good ... then I realised I'm typing this on a Logitech keyboard just after playing NFS on a logitech joystick and I'm about to click submit with one of two logitech mice I have attached to my computer. I guess the devil owns me now...

Is it just me, or does Starpeace look absolutely fantastic?

Has anyone played it from the UK? What about on 56Kbps dailup? What about on 56Kbps dailup from the UK? From what little I've seen, it's not really bandwidth intensive - a lag of a few seconds shouldn't be too bad, but I can't really say.

I'd really like to give that a go and I think the monthly charge could mean this will last - it has done so far.

To anyone that's played it - does it need a good net connection? Is it deep? I mean, are there loads of businesses to be in, loads of options, etc. I don't care if it takes months (or for ever) to get familiar with things - I want something that will last and be challenging for potentially years. If it's shallow and limited to Monopoly Tycoon, it's useless.

Also, how limiting is it? Can you think strategies with an open mind or are you somewhat stuck to rails? Basically, does being a good business man make you a good player, or is being experienced with this game's style help more? The main advantage of being massively multiplayer should be that you are free to do true business tricks and not get limited by the game.

It's like the difference between Age of Empires (not the bedt example) and Civilisation. Civilisation isn't deeper because it gives loads of options. It's deeper because it gives no limitations.

Anyway, any players out there, please comment.

If you mean that is this the 3rd multiplayer demo, the first two were tests, not demos. This represents the real mccoy (although I couldn't see any difference between test2 and the full version for the beach landing map).
