AHH!! That "nugget". You do realize Obama was the one who started that right??

Do I agree with separating kids from parents of illegals? NO!

No. i don't "advocate".
I just like pointing out what "crybabies" some people are over an election loss.
If you had any shred of credibility at all you would admit that the "sooking" over Trumps win in 2016 has been over the top and ridiculous in hyperbolic measures.
If Trump loses in 2020 well... Too bad so sad.
That's politics for ya. Hardly "advocating" eh?

Beautiful. You don't advocate ... right after repeating one of Trump's blatant lies.

Right. I can't be bothered finding a link for this guy, I'm just here to laugh at him. Either he's actively a Trump supporter or he genuinely believes he's in any way independent, in which case holy hell is Trump owning his arse and he doesn't even realise it.

You consistently advocate for Trump and his policies, including as you demonstrated his short-term "double-Santa" economic policy. Only an idiot would believe you're not firmly in his camp (which could mean you genuinely believe you're not).

This is how InfoWars lasted as long on social media sites as they did - false equivalence, treating reality vs fiction as left vs right, and incessant complaining regardless of what their actual treatment is.

It's pretty consistently a small improvement. Each time is within the error of margin, but if that's all it was I would expect with-Denuvo to do better more often. Denuvo causing a small performance hit makes sense, unlike some of the scary reports from very unreliable sources - I don't trust pirates or publishers.

Of course I'd rather have slightly better performance but these figures don't bother me much (particularly as they tried to cause a CPU bottleneck that I wouldn't have). I'm much more worried about compatibility issues and rootkits and the like - how does Denuvo stack up in this regard?

Keep in mind, InfoWars itself supports this kind of "censorship."

You will stay on topic. (Post under the proper category)
You will post articles to the ONE category that best applies.
You will not spam. (Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.)
You will not include links to websites and videos not associated with the topic.
You will not post the same comment or article multiple times or multiple categories.
You will not solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind. You will not include links to products in your status updates, comments, articles or groups.
You will not post anything libelous, defamatory, harmful, threatening, harassing, abusive, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise illegal.
You will not make threats to other users or people not associated with the site.
If you violate these rules, your posts and/or user name will be deleted.
Remember: you are a guest here. It is not censorship if you violate the rules and your post is deleted. All civilizations have rules and if you violate them you can expect to be ostracized from the tribe.

Emphasis mine, but, I mean, even Alex Jones violates these, especially with his endless damn solicitations. He's been going out of business for decades, according to him, saved only if you buy $5 worth of sugar pills for $100.

Why is it so difficult for people to just ignore things you don't like and go about your life? You act like youtube is the 24/7 Alex Jones show (which it probably will be with thousands of people uploading Alex Jones clips now, it's going to turn into the new Rick Roll Troll). Does Facebook force people to visit the Info War page or something? Did Apple automatically make you download his podcast?

You're all embracing corporate censorship like they're some sort of benevolent benefactor to society, will you feel the same way when corporations like Bayer exert their power over removing all content disparaging their fine, extremely safe products from these same social media platforms? Do you think the government will only force corporations to censor things you also want to see censored?

InfoWars breaking the TOS has nothing to do with governments forcing any kind of censorship. I'm glad these tech companies are finally standing up to the cry babies and treating them like they would anyone else.

InfoWars can easily be avoided but the consequences of people who believe these charlatans (including Voice of Europe, you are 100% part of the problem) are unavoidable.

I guess because he was so damn lazy about it. I feel like voiceover for a video is shockingly stupid to plagiarize, anyway. You're doing about 30 seconds of talking, just script it.

I suspect laziness is the problem - if they would put effort into their plagiarism, they'd have put the effort into just doing their own review.

I don't blame IGN on this occasion, they probably had no idea and seem to have responded appropriately.

Freedom of speech is binary. It either exists, or it doesn't. The choice to post comments or say things others find offensive is why the liberty lives in the first place. It is NOT our place to police or censure individuals. Nor does this right belong to the private sector or big government. Anyone who wants to travel down that road is engaging in restrictive freedom, and it is wrong. Worse, where does this action end? If it happens to one aspect of freedom, it will be easy to restrict another.

So you have no boundaries at all? Is viewing or distributing child pornography OK with you? What about shouting "fire" in a crowded cinema? What about shouting racist abuse? How about someone tweeting their anger at white people on their personal Twitter account, should that be a firing offense?

In response to your asinine comment, here's a list of all the fallacies your five questions contain. That's a pretty epic failure on your part. Achievement unlocked, to be sure.

[snip]

None of that applies.

Ad hominems: I did not attack you personally or insult you - or even call your comment asinine. Irrelevant.

Straw man: No, if it's binary, it's all or nothing. You picked "all", these are the questions you have to deal with.

Slippery slope: If it's binary, there's no possible slippery slope. It either exists, or it doesn't.

False Dilemma/False Dichotomy: This is a doozy. You described it as binary. You literally posited an either-or statement. How is pointing out the problems with your "either-or" comment my logical fallacy?

Hasty generalisations, red herring: Irrelevant to my comment, very relevant to yours. Again, do you have no boundaries at all?

May they both be ephemeral distractions in America.

I agree with most of what you say, and with this decision, but speech that is deemed unpatriotic is exactly what freedom of speech is needed for.

Ehhh, I'd comment on the fact that, once you let near-monopoly corporations decide what can and can't be said, you may very well discover yourself among the silenced.

I see where you're coming from, but this is neither something we let happen nor something new. Facebook has been banning things which breach their rules since they started and InfoWars is lucky to have lasted this long.

Still, fundamentally without free speech for unpopular ideas, there is no free speech - popular ideas don't need protected. I think Facebook/etc did the right thing here but it's a slippery slope to banning things for political reasons (which is not the case here).

I wish Elite Dangerous had something like this.

I don't disagree, but it depends on the implementation. Remember how in SWBF2 how you had to play 40 hours just to unlock Luke, plus a couple dozen more hours to unlock all of his stuff? They made it onerous to grind in order to basically force people to pay. If I have to grind 49 hours to afford a Hornet, I'm just not going to be playing very long before I lose interest.

It comes down to trust. How much do I trust CIG to not try to extract as much money as they can from players? Not at all. Possibly even less than EA.
