Not sure what made up timeline you are referring to, but journalists having relationships with devs to get special treatment, generally having an insider buddy hook up / blacklist network, along with the long standing issue of content being controlled by industry ad revenue are all worthy complaints that somehow was responded to with 19 "gamers are dead" articles within 4 days.
