Did they sort out the miserable performance issues with the game, or are they pulling an Ark: Survival Evolved here, and selling DLC before the game is playable?

Toothless and inconsequential "activists" who "stand up" to something by doing nothing but saying something that everyone sane already knows to be true. But aren't I wonderful for saying it? Right guys? It's kinda sickening if you ask me. It's not a "hot take" to say that being shitty to women and decent people who defend them is wrong. I would say it was "virtue signaling" or "white knighting" but those terms were co-opted by misogynists years ago.
The comment about him being a "far left troll" was my way of implying that it's easy for everyone to assume that only far right trolls were in support of gamergate but if you paint the people who erroneously assume that with the same broad brush all of a sudden it's controversial.
The movement and the whole nontroversy that was gamergate was misguided, sure, but some people were genuinely sick of games journalism being so pathetic. Them circling the wagons and "standing up to far right trolls" the way every games journalist did was just avoiding the uncomfortable truths that people latched onto the movement for in the first place. It was and still is the biggest strawman in gaming.
I know I just pissed off half the board, but I don't really care. You bring that stupid shit up I am going to say what needs to be said.

I tend to ignore far right trolls and the far left trolls who write articles about them. I'm not sure that there's a better way to deal with the problem.

How often do older generations (which you might not be a member of, I don't know) unironically complain about younger generations? Ask some service workers what generation is the most rude, the most demanding, and the most easily offended. You might not like the answer, but try not to get angry at them and demand to see their manager.
The lack of self awareness is brutal to me. All of these people complained about older generations misunderstanding them and generalizing them as whiny and weak, and then somehow, they do it as adults.
Some self-awareness and an interest in learning from history would be fantastic.

The problem Arrowhead has is their current choice is between people not being able to get in or people randomly not getting rewards. While it's frustrating I think they made the right choice, and honestly I haven't been trying to play this weekend because of it. I do think it's a giant red flag for anyone looking to buy the game until it has been resolved.
As was said before the Galactic War requires a master server keeping track of mission progress so host it yourself is absolutely not an option. I suppose they could do an offline, but then you'd never get anything for your runs so kinda blows up the point behind that one too.

I thought it was a good game. Never cared too much about commercials, but the Arnie one was kind of funny.
The only highlights, commercials wise, was the ubiquitous Budweiser Clydesdale commercial and the Doritos Dinamita commercial.
I am glad KC won, though, just so the RWNJ will lose their shit for the next two weeks straight.

You made my head hurt for a second there Cutter. But it was a reduction from 9.7 to 8.1 per 10000 when the drugs were taken. Still, it always seemed beyond useless to report associations without establishing causality. To me it seems about as scientific as saying cows are associated with reducing crime because the prevalence of cows is higher in lower crime areas.
Once researchers adjusted for other factors that could affect the rate of Alzheimer’s disease, such as age, smoking status and alcohol consumption, they found that people who took erectile dysfunction drugs were 18% less likely to develop Alzheimer’s than people who did not take the drugs.

I'll probably get (rightly) called a codgery old fart for saying this but people need to grow a few hairs on their chest or GTFO. It's like every new generation is a more delicate flower than the last one. FFS our grandfathers fought in a World War, came home, and raised the boomer generation. Now we can't stand a little vitriol online.

She's not wrong; there is a lot of toxic masculinity on social media sites. Frankly I don't know how young pretty girls can stand the constant harassment. Then again, the irony of her complaining about it now that she is incredibly wealthy because she knowingly benefitted from Twitch targeting those same guys in her quest to 'make it' isn't lost on me.
What shouldn't be lost is that she's also partially responsible for how Twitch is today due to her popularity. I mean, she decries the imbalance in how Twitch handles enforcement while at the same time being one major example of it over the years.

Don't bother with this card. Steve are Gamers Nexus tested it, and its a whooping 1.8 percent faster the the 4080. Only good thing he had to say was the price.
1.8% faster for $200 less seems like something you should absolutely "bother with" if you're looking to upgrade from an older generation.
This is my takeaway too. It's barely an upgrade on the Geforce 4080, but it is a significant price drop and turns the 4080 from one of the worst value cards into one of the best in terms of price-per-frame.
