Nope, not after watching UHF! Love that movie.

I watched that movie like 3 million times when I was a kid, infact its one of the reasons I started watching seinfeld. I loved the TV-show with the kid and the firehose. And spatula city, and Conan the librarian, and Rambo, and "Supplies!!" a true classic

17. Michael Richards (Kramer) goes nuts Nov 21, 2006, 12:25 BicycleRepairMan

I think he was trying to "pull a bill hicks", but just totally bombed it.. Unlike Richards, Bill hicks went completely mental but managed to put it into a context.. Guess not every comedian can say "Hitler had the right idea" and get away with it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKTCiCgEkoE

Maybe I'm just trying to justify my love for seinfeld here, but I just dont see richards as a guy who would use the N word seriously.

Anyways, here's his apology on Letterman:

News Comments > Frontline: Kursk Renamed Frontline: Fields of Thunder
16. Re: No subject Nov 16, 2006, 17:25 BicycleRepairMan

The largest Tank battle ever fought. Not the largest battle. Prussia = over 2 million dead, Stalingrad = 1.5 million dead. Even the Somme from WWI had over 1 million dead by the end of it.

Yeah, there have been higher casualty numbers, but battles are also ranked after importance, men and materials committed and lost. All taken into account, Kursk comes out on, or atleast pretty near the top.

But, overall its difficult to measure these things against each other..

Point is, Kursk is a MAJOR battle, one of the biggest, and perhaps the most important battle of all time, and each year we should all be taking a day to remember those people who died there, and thank them that we're not all speaking german right now

Its only the biggest battle fought on earth. ever. And yes, D-day, Pearl Harbour, Market Garden, the entire vietnam war, and the gulf war, and the Iraq war, all peanuts, compared to Kursk. 300 000 dead in one battle.

Actually the Red Orchestra retail box is also steam-dependent. so that makes it the third non-valve steam-game not made by valve.

For those who missed last nights news, New RO Trailer, Must see:
http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=postmessage&boardid=1&id=0&threadid=72383

New update brings back Danzig to Red Orchestra and is generally awesome. This is the second big content pack for RO since its release in may or so. Also lots of improvements have been made, akward walking animations are now history and the view distance is now at a whopping 4000 meters for those really big tank maps.

If you havent got this awesome game yet, something is wrong with you.

Why the big fuzz anyway, I upgraded, most of the extensions work, those who dont probably soon will.. its like a 4mb download, takes 1 minute to install.. Dont like it? uninstall.. jeez.

BTW: the X's on the tabs can be removed:

1. Type about:config in the address bar

2. Change browser.tabs.closeButtons to the value you wish.

* 0 - Display close button only on the active tab
1 - Display close buttons on every tabs
2 - Never display close buttons
3 - Display single close button at the end of the tab strip (This is the old, default Firefox 1.5 behavior)

If browser.tabs.closeButtons does not exist, you can create it. Right-click the page and select New and then Integer

It says a lot when an American developer has to get a Russian publisher to distribute that crap.

It tells me that on some wierd janet-jackson-tits level the self censorship in the US is actually worse than Russia's, and in Russia, journalists get shot when speaking their mind. So yeah, that does say alot.

Thanks for proving me right.

What part of what he said "proved you right"? that he mistook something that (in your language, not his) meant idiot for meaning "jerk"? I can call you jævla pappskalle, now thats my native language, lets see you look that up, and let me taunt you later for getting it wrong because I know perfectly well what it means.

Yeah i edit my posts too, cry me a river.

This is not a real game. It is a modifcation. If they make it $15 then I'll buy it, otherwise tell them to kiss my big white ass.

How many times do you have to make this point, you have now done it in every single fucking article on BN about RO. If you are so interested in the game, spend instead the time used to point out this pointless opinion you have, to do some work, and earn 25$ so you can just buy the fucking game and be done with it..

No its not a fucking modification, they have the engine license, they rebuilt everything, added engine features and all original content, so its no more an unreal mod than Splinter cell is.

It doesnt have as much content as , say Half-life 2, or splinter cell or other 50$ games, but then again, the price is HALF that of most new games, if you find that terribly unfair, then kiss your own white ass.

Alot of the complaints on RO was related to the walking animations which looked stiff and unnatural, well, no more of that, check out the new ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXXnHvFf7VI

News Comments > More Red Orchestra Free Content Plans
21. Re: Wow, not really up to date are you? Sep 18, 2006, 12:51 BicycleRepairMan

Actually they are effectively now sold that way

Ok, but thats old games, I meant when they were new.. anyway the point was just that almost any sequel can often be narrowed down to be basically new content for an old game, with better graphics etc. There are for instance mods for HL2 in the works that offer more originality and quality then some of the sequels and movie-tie-ins out there, say if Insurgency delivers what it promises, I'd gladly pay 25$ for that too, instead of buying some other soul-less crap console-port for 50$. The fact that mod teams that work that hard for that long simply gives it away for free doesnt always mean the games arent worth anything.
