Part of why CS became so popular was that you could kill a guy in one shot. Bad players could catch far better players off-guard and get that kill.

You could kill a guy in one shot with one specific expensive weapon. At the end of the day players with better map awareness would win because CS wasn't a deathmatch.

Fortnite was absolutely not built to be a hardcore, competitive experience and the fact that it's been embraced as such baffles me.

But is it still "boring and repetitive"? Genuinely curious. Reviews are the reason I never picked this up.
If you like outer space, exploration, and crafting, you'll enjoy this game.

The controls aren't that difficult to figure out. It was designed to play on consoles as well as computers, for example.

If by "outer space" you mean spending 99% of the time planetside on identical planetoids and by "exploration" you mean wandering around barren lifeless landscapes uncovering the occasional cookie-cutter points of interest...

What Verno said. The "game" is still just a casual grindfest.

what pisses me off is that it's not a question of math, it's a question of procedure/formatting/semantics.

Nobody past the fifth grade will write a mathematical equation or function with the division symbol, so it isn't an issue. It's not even on my keyboard, for chrissake.

That one I got with no issue. But the cubes got me. How do we know there are cubes behind those cubes?

Gravity asserts that the top cubes would fall unless supported from beneath, and the lack of any other shapes would have us assume they are supported by the same shape.

I hate pattern recognition shit; they never really teach it in school but its always called the marker of high intelligence.

The 8/2 factors out to become four which is then multiplied by 1/(2+2)... which is 1...

I was taught by higher-level maths professors to factor.

I finally tried some Beyond Meat: used the crumbles in vegetarian enchiladas. While the texture was pretty good (far better than goopy soy-based products), it was over flavored; tasted more like cooked hamburgers that had been crumbled up than plain beef, which was not at all what I was going for in enchiladas.

And no mention of our little 4.0 earthquake in Cleveland yesterday!?

They atmosphere in that game is just so god damn good, much better than Witcher 3, because it actually feels real,

Yeah it feels real, real fucking boring.

I made it 30 minutes into this game before dropping it as the horribly tedious game that it is.

Ionizing radiation damages electronic equipment. Components can be "hardened" to shield them from the effects, but I doubt such old soviet-era equipment was built for such a hostile environment.

Especially people that think nuclear is the solution to our baseload power issue as we phase out coal and natural gas plants.

Because it is, dude. Zero carbon emissions. 50% of the reason we aren't surrounded by nuclear power plants is public fear, and 50% is because the construction costs never came down.

Creston, Never played the Anniversary Edition : Check

How about you try playing the new edition and not jump to conclusion first? Its actuality had a lot of good upgrades thats made the game alot better.

It didn't need many/any upgrades. The only thing that really needed fixed was updated multiplayer since the original was based on gamespy.

Also, these addons are halfassed garbage that might pass as first-time mod efforts from small teams but are in no way shape or form sufficient enough products to warrant a price tag.

And the latest Grim Dawn addon is no better; it's awful. Ashes of Malmouth was pretty great, however.

The only buzzing the show will generate will be from critics come awards season. It's a one-off, British-made docudrama about a decades-old nuclear disaster in the USSR.
