Atari announces Missile Command Delta, the latest revival of an OG Atari property from the current owners of the brand and its IP. This is listed as coming "soon" to PC and PlayStation. The original Missile Command was a trackball arcade action game released in 1980. As seen in the Missile Command Delta Official Announcement Trailer this follow-up is a departure which places the player in a command bunker where puzzle-solving turn-based tactics will make the difference between winning and losing. Here's the Steam Listing and here's more:
Missiles are incoming. The stakes are high. Only you can stop the destruction. The teams at Mighty Yell and 13AM Games have taken one of Atari’s most iconic titles and created a high-pressure, tactical turn-based game where players must manage their pool of defenses strategically to survive rounds of incoming missiles.Continue here to read the full story.
Missile Command Delta approaches gameplay in a completely new way, but it retains all the tension and suspense of the arcade original. You have to think strategically about every move you make because even one poor choice can have grave consequences. The turn-based strategy game is wrapped in a twisting, narrative thriller – great for mystery fans, completionists, and players that love to explore and solve puzzles.
Razer announces plans to protect games from bots with a "Razer ID verified by World ID," a "proof of human technology" using AI from a company co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. This also promises to protect gamers, but so did Razer's gamer mask. Underneath this seems to be crypto all the way down, with specifics about safeguarding in-game NFTs, among other things. This is to be accomplished by linking a Razer ID to World App, an extra-fancy crypto wallet ambitiously described as "a pioneering open protocol committed to advancing every human." So the announcement focuses on finances as much as anything: "Players will also have the ability to make in-game purchases through Razer Gold, a full suite game payment service combining e-wallet, webshop, gift cards and payment aggregation that enables seamless transactions for digital goods and in-game content worldwide." Here's more:
The new ‘Razer ID verified by World ID’ is a cutting-edge, secure, single sign-on (SSO) proof of human technology that will verify real human gamers for Razer ID. Designed to create a safer, more authentic, and immersive environment for gamers worldwide, this will help show that there is a real person behind every Razer ID account for enhanced trust and security in the digital space. Razer ID is Razer’s unified SSO to log into all Razer services and software within the Razer ecosystem, which includes a game booster, unified cloud-based hardware configuration tool for full customizations, game payment services and a rewards program. Fair play starts with real players, and Razer ID’s ability to integrate into games to enable “human-only” gameplay modes is key to fostering fair competition and a more trusted gaming environment.

Maximum Entertainment and Breakfirst Games announce How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine, a co-op puzzle game coming this year to PC and consoles. This is a sequel to the 2023 puzzle adventure game How 2 Escape and features more asymmetrical gameplay with one player on a PC or console, and the other on the companion mobile app (or separate PC). This requires precise cooperation to prevent a global war as one player infiltrates the titular sub, while the other is "the guy in the chair," providing crucial information and directions over voice comms. The Announcement Trailer is here to immerse us in the experience. Here's more:
In How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine, players will team up to track down a missing submarine, The Triumphant, that may hold the key to averting international conflict. With each player taking on a unique role, effective communication and problem-solving skills will be required to navigate a series of increasingly complex puzzles.Continue here to read the full story.
One player will investigate and explore the inside of the submarine, uncovering clues and interacting with the environment. Meanwhile, their partner will use the dedicated free How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine Companion App (PC/iOS/Android) to gather vital information and provide crucial assistance in solving puzzles — working together to make the right decisions before it’s too late.

Villain Games HQ announces Hero's Hand, a "genre-bending" roguelike RPG with poker-inspired puzzle gameplay coming to PC and consoles next year. The Official Announcement Trailer includes a surprising amount of exposition along with a look at gameplay. Q-Games Ltd. announces a Windows edition of Dreams of Another is coming this year alongside the previously announced PlayStation 5 edition of this third-person shooter. The game's stated philosophy is "No Creation Without Destruction," as the twist is that shooting your weapon helps create, rather than destroy, the game world. You can see this in action in this trippy Announcement Trailer showing the kind of pixelated magic this will help you create, without even changing out of your pajamas. Here's the Steam Listing and here's more:
Dreams of Another is a third-person exploration-action game built around the theme, "No Creation Without Destruction", which turns typical third-person shooter gameplay on its head. Happy Saint Patrick's Day, as today is the annual celebration of Irish culture. And while Saint Patrick may not have actually driven the snakes out of Ireland, I don't know that anyone has ruled out that he may have done so in Antarctica, New Zealand, Hawaii, Greenland, and Iceland. Either way, it's time to break out our best green outfits and blarney Irish accents. And while you may not be aware, some of the expected festivities involve drinking alcohol, so if you're partying, please be safe and careful, especially on the roads.
