Ubisoft Financials

Ubisoft said that the review of strategic options is ongoing and an ad-hoc independent board committee will oversee the process to extract the best value from Ubisoft’s assets and franchises for all stakeholders.

Out of the Blue

The new Captain America movie debuts tonight, and I'm sad that I'm not more excited, but Marvel has squandered a lot of goodwill, and too many MCU films just seem like filler. It's too bad, because making comic book movies seem like they have real stakes like they did was heavy lifting. This is especially sad for me since I thought that The First Avenger was great, and The Winter Soldier is arguably my favorite Marvel movie (outside of anything to do with Spider-Man, of course). But I think they already messed up the successor storyline with the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series by focusing on the wrong thing. I like the Sam Wilson character, and I have no problem with him as Cap, but the whole "whoever has the shield is Captain America" premise was, well, dumb, and a complete disservice to the audience and the character. I haven't lost all hope, however, as though it's a ways off, I'm pretty positive the Fantastic Four movie will actually lure me into a theater for the first time in forever. Excelsior!

Marvelous Round-up
Thanks Ant, Neutronbeam, and Max.
