ONE BTN BOSSES Released

ONE BTN BOSSES is now available for Windows on Steam, offering a bullet hell shooter with a lot of imagination considering its titular button-challenged control scheme. Gameplay and its hand-drawn aesthetic are on full display in this recent Gameplay Explainer Video. The announcement brags about the success of the demo, which must be to push our buttons, since it's no longer offered. Here's word:
ONE BTN BOSSES is a minimalistic bullet hell game that offers a fresh take on the genre. The goal is to defeat increasingly challenging bosses with the tap of one button to dodge their attacks. The longer players wait to evade the infinite waves of bullets, the faster their ship fires and the quicker they win. Pilots with the highest scores will find their names ranked on global leaderboards.

With over 15,000 Steam demo downloads since its Next Fest debut, ONE BTN BOSSES is launching with a full handcrafted campaign that spans 50 branching story levels, and a highly replayable roguelike mode, where players can create broken builds to crunch through boss encounters. With various unlockable playstyle-changing customization options, the game offers many hours of fast-paced bullet-shooting fun, complemented by a legendary synthwave soundtrack.

Volgarr the Viking II Released

Volgarr the Viking II is now available for Windows on GOG.com* and Steam and for consoles, offering an action platformer sequel to Volgarr the Viking from back in 2013, with the two games serving as sort of bookends for a Viking craze that fell in between. The Launch Trailer shows off what has and hasn't changed in the intervening decade-plus. Grab your horny helmet and read on for more:
Developed in partnership with Crazy Viking Studios, Volgarr the Viking II is a sequel 10 years in the making. The barbarian king Volgarr returns, a little older but no less ruthless. Featuring new and expansive worlds inspired by Norse mythology, players must slash, dash, and mash their way through waves of bloodthirsty enemies…lest they embark on a one-way trip to Valhalla.

Sporting the same unforgiving 1980s arcade style of challenge as the original, Volgarr the Viking II demands precision, as one false move leads to a brutal death. Players of the original game will feel right at home on this relentless voyage, while more modern gameplay features ease newer players into the savagery with a practice mode, optional checkpoints, save profiles, and unlimited continues. However, a secret world and boss await those who can master the game without these modern comforts.

Out of the Blue

We're hopeful the siding crew will be done with our townhouse today. It's clear from observing the process that there are fits and spurts involved, and sometimes things move quickly and sometimes they spend more time fussing with details. In a little bad luck it's turned out that progress has stalled out front just like it did in the back, so they've been out there for close to a week now. But there's almost nothing left to do here, so hopefully they'll move down the row over the next day or so. It's not like we're trapped in here, but it will be a relief when there's no longer any impediment to our comings and goings.
