Din's Champion Announced

Soldak Entertainment announces Din's Champion, an upcoming new installment in the action/RPG series coming to Early Access in Q3 of this year. But while predecessors Din's Curse and Din's Legacy were both played from a Diablo-style isometric perspective, Din's champion is a 2D side-scroller. First details are on the official website along with more screenshots showing the game's new look. Its Steam Listing is also online if you want to add it to your wishlist. Monsters can form uprisings, start wars, set up ambushes, and attack your town. Town NPCs can get plagues, curses, and be killed. Explosions destroy terrain. Liquids flow. Poisonous and explosive gases can build up. Sand, mud, and other loose solids can collapse. The evil gods can even unleash massive area wide cataclysms if they build up enough power!

To survive this dangerous world, you need to explore carefully, collect resources through mining, gathering, and looting, slay hundreds of types of dangerous monsters, build a town for protection, improve your character, craft cool items, dodge deadly traps, quell uprisings, flush out traitors, kill assassins, cure plagues, purge curses, end wars, and complete other dangerous quests or the danger WILL escalate. Every game is unique with different bosses, biomes, monsters, items, traps, objects, and quests.

Deck13 Spotlight and Just2D serve up a Release Window Trailer for DROVA - Forsaken Kin, an upcoming "grim dark Pixel" action/RPG for Windows and consoles. Enotria: The Last Song Delayed

Jyamma Games announces Enotria: The Last Song is now expected to launch on September 19th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. This is a delay of about a month, as an announcement in March told us this would arrive on August 21st. The announcement does not acknowledge the setback, so there's no explanation. It's probably safe to assume this is to make it better, rather than worse. A new Dev Diary #2 Video comes with the news, promising to uncover "Secrets of Enotria." Here's more on the diary and the game:
Unveiled in the latest developer diary, prepare to face numerous adversaries demanding swift tactics and mastery of your diverse abilities. Explore the sun-drenched world and confront Vermiglio, the boss of the Mantelloni Garden area, one of the many Italian folklore-inspired bosses that await your challenge and the cloaks that populate the cursed monastery in which he resides.

Jyamma Games sought out to bring the dark yet captivating characters of Italian folklore to life with the world of Enotria: The Last Song. From cloaked figures playing tricks to condemned monks following a cataclysmic event, Vermiglio and the Mantelloni Garden mobs draw inspiration from these tales of betrayal and intrigue. Delve further to learn more about the inspirations behind these two menacing monsters.

The Precinct Delayed

The announcement that The Precinct would arrive next month is so last month, as Fallen Tree Games already announces a new fall release window for this police procedural game. The August launch turned out to be too ambitious, as word is: "we've decided to give it a little more time for some final polishing and bug fixing." A new Delay Trailer accompanies the news with a look at the game in action. Here's the overview:
Averno City, 1983. Gangs rule the streets and your father lies restless in his grave. Clean up the city, uncover the truth, and embark on thrilling vehicle chases through destructible environments in this neon-noir action sandbox police game.

Virtual Reality Check

Out of the Blue

Well I've finally got a little peace here in the BlueTower again. This ongoing siding project I mentioned is taking longer than I anticipated. That's fine, but the crew ended up setting up their circular saw right outside my patio doors to do the cutting for all eight townhouses in our row, so I've had about a week of sawing going on out there. It's also a relief that they're out of sight right now, because this crew is like a living OSHA training video demonstrating what not to do, which is a little nerve-wracking. But despite their seeming recklessness, they just keep trucking along without mishap, so I guess experience counts for something.

Peaceful Round-up
Thanks Ant, Neutronbeam, and Max.
