Space Marine 2 Leak Confirmed

A post from Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive confirms the rumor that a playable build of Warhammer: 40,000: Space Marine 2 has leaked onto the internet. The post expresses disappointment, and urges players to avoid spoiling the full experience for themselves with this unfinished edition and wait for the official launch of the third-person shooter sequel on September 9th:
Our teams have poured years of hard work, passion, and dedication into creating a game worthy of your hopes and expectations, and it's disheartening that many of the surprises we worked to keep secret were spoiled. We're saddened that this build, which will be almost a year old by the time we launch, is how some of our most eager fans will first experience Space Marine 2.

Our unwavering commitment has been to deliver the best possible game for our players. This was the driving force behind our decision to spend more time on development and ensure we deliver the best experience we can.

We're asking everyone to avoid this unfinished build and to not spoil the game for those excited to experience it for the first time at launch. Space Marine 2 will release on September 9, and the best way to support our teams' hard work is to play the game as they've always intended.

Saying the Overwatch series has surpassed 100 million players, Blizzard announces some players now have an Overwatch 2 Recap Video to revel in their past glories in the multiplayer first-person shooter. The bad news is in the limitations, as this is only available to players in the United States who previously opted into Blizzard's marketing communications. The Dark Cave Released

Grab your lighted helmet, as it's time to do some spelunking in The Dark Cave, as this turn-based strategy game from 2P Games and Leaves Games is now available for Windows on Steam. It carries a 15% launch discount for those who take the plunge over the next two weeks. Here's a new Official Trailer with a look, and here's a description to shed some light on what to expect:
The Dark Cave is a pixel art, turn-based strategy game that mixes deck-building and roguelike mechanics. Players must choose between three characters, each with 20+ upgradable abilities. The Dark Cave offers a unique experience in every run, thanks to the combination of characters and abilities plus 20+ enhancement effects (that have a permanent effect, even with different characters), 20+ potions (disposable but with an immediate effect), and 40+ relics (they give you a buff only for the current run). Choose your combat style carefully to reach the innermost rooms of the cave!

In The Dark Cave, players will have limited movement during battles, making every move count. Anticipating enemy movements (and attacks) will be paramount, as well as each decision between combats: do I heal now or acquire a powerful new skill? Should I take that dangerous route and surprise my enemies even if I die?

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder Released

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is now available for Windows on Steam, launching an action/platformer for Windows with a 10% launch discount. The Launch Trailer shows off gameplay and the obvious influence of the classics of the genre. Here's word:
Join Aletheia and a vibrant cast of characters as they race to discover the secrets of the Steam City of Canaan. Demos & Freebies

Out of the Blue

You probably don't need me to tell you it's Prime Day, as Amazon has managed to turn a simple sale into a media circus. But my feeling it's over-hyped worked against me this time, as I didn't have the "see if it's on sale for Prime Day" mindset the occasion hopes to inspire. A visit to the store shows me that the new coffee grinder that I recently mentioned is on sale right now. I think I could still return the one I got and re-buy it, but that's a lot of work, will create extra waste, and would be sort of a dick move, so I'll just take this as a lesson learned.

Prime Round-up
Thanks Ant, Neutronbeam, and Max.
