Wizard with a Gun Free Weekend

A free weekend is underway on Steam for Wizard with a Gun, the well-armed sandbox survival game where you magically make lead appear inside your enemies. Everyone has a couple of days to check it out for free, and it's on sale for half-off if you decide to pick up a copy. This includes the chance to experience the new Better Together Free Content Update which is shown off in this trailer. Here's a refresher:
Wizard with a Gun is an online cooperative sandbox survival game set in a magical wilderness wrought with dangerous creatures and arcane mysteries. Embark on a journey alone or with a friend to collect, craft, and outfit your wizard however you see fit as you explore the unknown. Carefully design weapons, bullets, and furnishings for your tower home but try not to burn it all down as the magic you wield escalates beyond your control...

Wayfinder Finds a Way

A post on Steam announces Wayfinder Echoes, the path forward for Wayfinder, the live-service action/RPG that lost its way and was recently delisted from Steam (thanks Kotaku). Airship Syndicate now has control of the project and will be relaunching it as a single-player game with optional three-player co-op support. Word is it will have a set price and no microtransactions:
Wayfinder will be removing all online requirements and will be a single-player game with optional 3-player co-op. No queues, no login, no accounts. You can choose to play solo on your Steam Deck while on the go or engage in peer-to-peer co-op with friends from your home PC. We realize this is a big shift, but a necessary one to guarantee that the game is around forever. This also means that all progress will not be carried forward due to saves being local and not on a server. This major change will be the basis for what we’re calling Wayfinder's Echoes Update.

Trackmania Desert Car Update Next Week

The Trackmania Website outlines what to expect on Wednesday when the new Desert Car update rolls out in Trackmania, the high-octane time-trial game (thanks Frans). A new Desert Update Trailer is here with a look for those who don't share Anakin Skywalker's ammophobia. Here's what to expect:
The third episode of the Original Trilogy is set to launch on May 22nd at 5 pm CEST! Following the releases of the Snow and Rally cars, it’s now time for the Desert car to join Trackmania’s 20th anniversary celebration and complete the collection!

Like the Snow and Rally cars, the Desert car has been tailored to suit the new Trackmania surfaces. It retains the iconic and distinctive 2-wheel driving style from 2003 and incorporates special features from the Stadium car such as reactors and cruise control.

Out of the Blue

We've been checking out the offerings at a local food truck spot for a while now. This has been a mixed bag, as despite the resurgence of food trucks as a trendy option, more of them are pretty meh than anything. But this week we finally caught up with a truck serving up some pretty damn good barbeque (you know, for the north). We've had pretty bad luck in this area, as promising new spots quickly go downhill, and the best local joint changed hands a while back and followed suit. So our rotten luck will probably catch up with this pretty quickly, but hopefully we'll get to enjoy some more of this before the inevitable happens. I guess we should apologize in advance to the truck's other customers for discovering it and causing its inevitable ruination. Oh well, maybe the Smart Indoor Smoker will turn out to be our savior.

Well-fed Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.
