ROBOBEAT is now available for Windows on the Epic Games Store and Steam, offering the hopefully unbeatable combo of a rhythm game and a first-person shooter. Word is: "In ROBOBEAT, you'll play as Ace - a bounty hunter on a mission to capture robot-gone-rogue Frazzer in his ever-shifting lair. Wall run, slide, and shoot to the beat, blast through robot armies, and track down your target." An Official Launch Trailer show what Inzanity and Kwalee have in store for us, and there's a playable demo, but only on Steam. This also includes a few different layers of game collaboration:
Following the recent news that two classic tracks from BPM: Bullets Per Minute (Judgement and The Crypt) are included in ROBOBEAT as secret cassettes for players to find, Kwalee and ROBOBEAT are thrilled to team up with New Blood Interactive to announce that the tracks Burn in Hell from DUSK and Versus from ULTRAKILL are also hidden in the game.

In addition, THE BEATSLAYER BUNDLE is available on Steam and includes ROBOBEAT and New Blood Interactive’s highly popular titles, ULTRAKILL and DUSK. The BeatSlayer Bundle offers a 10% discount across all three games, delivering exceptional value for players seeking the fast paced thrills of these first-person shooters.

Dread Delusion Leaves Early Access

Dread Delusion has concluded its Early Access run, and this open-world RPG is now officially available on Steam, carrying a 20% launch discount for the next week. This post details all the changes since the beta version and a 1.0 Launch Trailer is here with a look at the game's stylish throwback graphics. Here's an explanation:
The world is broken. Its surface seethes with an undead curse, while humanity clings to flying continents in the sky. From mushroom forests to undead mausoleums, strange places and people await you. But will you find a way to heal this world - or seek power and profit for yourself?

Uncover a rich, interactive narrative through the game's quests, or pick a direction and explore by yourself. Carve your own path.

Towns offer a needed respite for a weary traveller to sleep through the night, trade goods, accept quests and speak with the locals.

A keen mind or charming wit can prove just as useful as a sword; and your decisions will shape how the story unfolds.

Athenian Rhapsody Released

Scaramouch! Scaramouch! Will you do the fandango? Athenian Rhapsody is now available for Windows on* and Steam as well as for consoles, offering an action/RPG with its own particular style of wackiness. Or as Nico Papalia and Top Hat Studios describe it, a "souls-like platonic dating simulator with cooking-mama and WarioWare style battle mechanics." Brace yourself and check out the Launch Trailer and see if you're up for the playable demo on Steam. Here's more:
Made by solo developer Nico Papalia with a focus on tongue-in-cheek storytelling and vibrancy, you'll explore the colourful world of Athens as you make friends (or not), engage in rambunctious mini-games ranging from weight-lifting, shooting bugs, or drawing your own bosses to fight, and partake in excruciating challenges such as "Carry A Feather" as you travel from town-to-town. All this in the name of writing your own Rhapsody - a special, unique memento/token of your exact playthrough (PLEASE NOTE: THIS HAS NO RELATION TO NFTs OR WEB 3.0). The trials and tribulations of your journey make up this individualised story, which can then be shared online with other players to let everybody know how much of a psychopath you are! The newly released launch trailer outlines the mechanics of the game in further depth, building off of the game's two prior shared trailers.

Tomb Raider TV Series Greenlit

Following the news that it is publishing the next Tomb Raider game, Amazon Games announces plans for a new Tomb Raider series that will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. This is being written and produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who continues to follow her Fleabag success with work on established properties like this one, His Dark Materials, and Indiana Jones. Lara Croft has already starred in three Hollywood features, and now we'll see if she can be fit onto the small screen. Here's more on the show and the game, indicating they are not directly connected:
This exciting news comes after Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Games previously announced a collaboration to develop and publish a new multiplatform Tomb Raider video game. The as-yet untitled game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that will add a new chapter to Lara Croft’s story in the Tomb Raider series.

“With great IP, the possibilities are endless. The richness and depth of the fiction allows the Tomb Raider series from Prime Video and the video game from Amazon Games to tell separate stories about Lara Croft’s adventures.” said Christoph Hartmann, VP of Amazon Games. ”We’re honored that Crystal Dynamics has entrusted Amazon with this iconic franchise, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this collaboration takes us.”

Out of the Blue

Apologies if you had trouble reaching us earlier today. We had a couple of overseas bots behaving badly, with one from Russia going particularly nuts, so thank you to Frans for taking care of them. This isn't too shocking, as there may be more bots than users on the internet these days. But it's surprising how poorly coded some of them are. The typical goal is to scrape data and get onto the next site, so acting like a DDoS attack and getting your IP banned is clearly not the goal. But as I say, with so many of them out there, I guess it shouldn't be surprising that some of them don't work properly.

Attacked Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.
