This is the Marvel game recently teased by Amy Hennig's studio. Epic Games Launcher Dropping Win 7, 8, and 10 (32-bit)

A post on the Epic Games Store from last week (thanks Neowin for the catch) reveals the Epic Games Launcher will discontinue support for older versions of Windows in June. Dropping Windows 7 and Windows 8 is unsurprising, as Microsoft stopped supporting these versions of its own operating systems years ago. But there is a twist, as Epic is also walking away from 32-bit versions of Windows 10. Word is the launcher may continue to work on these OSes after that, but you're on your own:
Today we’re giving a heads-up that the Epic Games Launcher will no longer support Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 (32-bit) starting June 2024. After this date, existing installations on these operating systems will no longer receive updates of any kind. The Epic Games Launcher will continue supporting Windows 10 (64-bit), Windows 11, and macOS 10.13 or higher.

After June 2024, players will still be able to use the Epic Games Launcher on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 (32-bit), just not in an officially supported manner. Epic will be unable to provide technical support for users of these operating systems, and Launcher features on these operating systems may degrade or stop working over time.

Foundry Early Access in May

Paradox Interactive announces that Foundry will roll off the assembly line and into Early Access on May 2nd, offering a new entry in the factory simulation genre. This chance to build things is built on voxels, which you can see in the Early Access Date Trailer. Here's the blueprint of what to expect:
Foundry is a first-person, factory-building and automation sandbox set in a beautiful, procedurally-generated voxel world. Starting from humble beginnings of manually mining and processing resources, crafting machinery, and developing technologies, players can advance to automating the entire production line to their precise plans. They will face different logistic challenges such as planning pipe and belt networks and managing complex power systems, working to expand their constantly growing production lines as they create their own gigantic, automated, and self-sustaining factory. Played solo or with friends, Foundry is the perfect mix between grid-based construction games and factory building simulations.

Riot "Resetting" LoL MMORPG

A series of Xs from Riot Games resets expectations for the planned MMORPG based on League of Legends following the departure of Greg Street, who was presumably the project lead. When Greg left he said: "The MMO is in good hands and it’s the right time to hand over the reigns for the next phase." Now two weeks later Riot says that next phase is a reset in direction for the game that actually began "some time ago." The game reportedly wasn't different enough and Riot doesn't "believe you all want an MMO that you’ve played before with a Runeterra coat of paint." Word is this means we probably won't hear more about this project for years:
Resetting our development path also means we will be "going dark" for a long time—likely several years. This silence will help provide space for the team to focus on the incredible amount of work ahead of them. We understand the excitement and anticipation that surrounds new information, but we ask for your trust during this silent phase.

Remember, 'no news is good news,' as it means we're hard at work, pouring our hearts and souls into making something that we hope you’ll love.

Alpha Protocol Revived

Alpha Protocol has returned, and the updated version of Obsidian's espionage RPG is now available for Windows on GOG.com* with a 10% (re)launch discount. Originally released in 2010, this was delisted in 2019 due to the expiration of its music rights. GOG explains it put a lot of effort into the revival, including a licensed soundtrack, though it's not clear if this is new, or the game's original music. A trailer called Making a Game Last Forever discusses this work and the issues surrounding game preservation in general. Here's the Launch Trailer and word:
As Michael Thorton, a covert agent, players travel around the globe executing black ops operations to uncover a conspiracy that threatens the world. With RPG elements known from other games made by the studio, the protagonist will not only influence geopolitics but also his own character, making each playthrough unique and consequential.

GOG.com, as part of their ongoing mission to preserve classic titles for future generations, put a lot of effort into bringing this cult game back to life after years of being unavailable for modern audiences. Like all titles on the platform, the game comes DRM-free and packed with additional goodies and features for gamers to enjoy, such as:

Out of the Blue

The anti-James Bond: Why kale-growing Aaron Taylor-Johnson would be a 007 like no other. This is quite the weird premise for an article. I wonder if they've had other blockbuster reporting that Josh Brolin is not a genocidal maniac or that Al Pacino isn't actually in the Mafia? Or, you know, that Marlon Brando and Orson Welles were functional humans? It's called acting. If this guy does get the role (all discussion of this is based on a single tabloid's reporting), I'm pretty sure he'll be a meat-eating, martini-swilling misogynist, just like everyone wants him to be.

Bonded Round-up
