A Plague Tale: Requiem Reviews

EXOCIDE Announced

Apogee announces EXOCIDE, a boomer shooter coming to PC and consoles in 2023, though the game's Steam Listing says it's expected later this year. As seen in the Reveal Trailer this ups the ante on dual wielding, as you can also fire weapons from a pair of robotic arms. So dual-dual wielding? Quad wielding? Who's to say? Here's more on the future of this blast from the past:
Wield up to four (yes, 4!) firearms at once as humanity’s last hope—the enigmatic Handler-128—and his excitable, colorful A.I. partner, G.E.N.N.I. Every bullet counts in mankind’s last stand against an army of genetically modified insects. These once-loyal superbugs, faced with global food shortages, have now pledged allegiance to their survival, not their creators. But even as swarms of super-powered spiders and drones bear down on the last human stronghold, who says you can’t slay with style?

String together brutal, cool-as-hell combos in lightning-fast, score-based gunplay. Strike from the air with the trusty Power Axe to stagger foes for follow-ups, nail back-to-back headshots with precision rifles, and jettison from ramps in the environment to keep your killer combo running. Build speed with Handler-128’s jet boots and rack up style points by wall-riding between quarter pipes, grinding handrails, or charge-dashing into the fray. Enter a flow state and create a glorious symphony of destruction to run up the scoreboard.

Superior Announced

Gala Games and Drifter announce Superior, a third-person roguelite shooter coming to PC via Steam later this year. The game's planned superiority is on display in the Official Game Trailer. Here's the pitch on the game and its lineage:
Start each mission unpowered and outgunned as you hunt down superheroes, steal their powers, and save the world. As you succeed in your mission, characters are upgraded with a branching skill tree, granting more powers and abilities to take on more heinous heroes. Armed with a powerful arsenal and your teammates, you advance through a sprawling hyper-stylized superhero universe with multiple locations and dynamically configured missions. With hundreds of unique superpowers, weapons, items, and abilities to upgrade and choose, Superior offers millions of combinations for extraordinary combat.

Superior is being developed by Drifter, the studio behind hit games: Robo Recall: Unplugged and Lies Beneath. The game is led by AAA developers with a pedigree from Gears of War, Doom, Halo and Apex Legends.

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 Announced

Movie Games and Byterunners announce Drug Dealer Simulator 2, an upcoming strategy sequel where you can return to the illegal drug trade. The game has a Steam Listing which shows that this is expected next year. The Announcement Trailer sets up the story and shows off the game's setting on the corrupt island of Isla Sombra in nostalgic journey back in time to the 2000s. Here's word:
Welcome to the early 2000s! You are Eddie, and a lifestyle of bad choices made you an outlaw seeking refuge. Don't worry tho, Isla Sombra is the perfect place for fugitives like you!

You're not planning to just surrender and stay there forever though. Prove your worth, use your talents and get your life back! Making a fortune along the way won't hurt either...

You start out as a nobody on a foreign, hostile island, without resources or connections. Work your way up to the heights of respect and fortune. Establish your hideouts, produce drugs and sell them on the streets. Reach clients and suppliers… and grow your operation. Expand to other villages and towns, but beware. Out of the Blue

I'm going to accompany MrsBlue on a trip to get an oil change for her car this morning. I'm not doing her a favor as much as I'm doing one for myself. I think I've mentioned before that this brings us in range of this little deli that serves the most delicious breakfast sandwiches in the world. Yes, even better than my own. So I'll happily enjoy my treat, while also continuing my efforts at deconstructing what makes it so good so I can get in on the magic.

Magical Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.
