The Fall 2022 campaign is the 10th Trackmania seasonal campaign! 25 new tracks are available from now on with 5 different levels of difficulty (white, green, blue, red and black). Some new blocks, including an impressive ice loop, are available for the first time in a seasonal campaign.

Dune-inspired Elland: The Crystal Wars Flies Out

Elland: The Crystal Wars is now available for Windows on Steam, offering an aerial combat action game. This arrives courtesy of a Kickstarter that revived the project. Word is: "In 2001, development began on an ambitious Game Boy Advance game based on a popular franchise." Not feeling the need to be so cagey, PC Gamer clarifies that this was planned as a licensed Dune game called Dune: Ornithopter Assault (thanks Neutronbeam). If hearing this is a 20+ year-old GBA design has you imagining crisp high resolution graphics, that's on you. This trailer shows off gameplay in all its ancient glory. So while you might dream of fighting over spice on Arrakis, at least you can make do with a conflict over crystals on Elland:
Elland, a harsh desert world on the outskirts of the Galaxy. With nothing but scant indigenous life, the planet is controlled by the cooperative Elland Inc, which mines the abundant minerals and crystals used in the construction of Galactic star cruisers. The mining operations and the abundance of Brem-Nar Crystals have transformed Elland from a dusty wasteland into a glittering and much envied prize.

Notorious for its precipitation, the neighboring world of Mank is home to the headquarters of the Trafford Corporation, the largest constructor of space cruisers and weapons in the Galaxy. Trafford is infamously aggressive, using it’s financial muscle and military power to always get what it wants. At this moment in time it wants to control Elland and it will use all and any resources to get what it wants.

Out of the Blue

I got three product recommendations for a bur grinder when I mentioned I was looking for one the other day (thanks!). One of them came after I already ordered one of the other two, so it didn't get its fair consideration. The recommendation I passed on was for the Cuisinart model, as I had one in the past, and had a couple of issues with it. The one I got was from Oxo (thanks brother19), as we've had good experiences with their kitchenware in the past. It was even on sale. This is a smart, well-made machine that makes quick, quiet work of the beans. I'm still working on getting my portioning exactly right, as I'm still not ready to go full Alton Brown on my brewing with the digital scale and all that (thought I have complete respect for anyone who does). But I'm pleased with the Oxo so far. Of course, based on history, the real test will be to see if it doesn't quickly die on me. So, time will tell.

Obituary: Sacheen Littlefeather: Native American activist and actor who refused Oscar for Brando dies.

Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.

Thanks Kxmode.
